  1. Ohhh shit yeah!
  2. Indeed it is, but I want to give it a shot I've been reading some really good reviews on it and I like knowing that my car is running on high quality products. Well I figured the BC BR coils are perfect for the type of driving I do with my car, which is daily driving and once or twice every few months a run down the strip and that's it. Plus I got them at a good price locally so I don't have to wait 2 weeks to get them from the US providing there isn't any AUS sellers.
  3. Looking good man, I haven't "done" anything lately but I am about to install a whole bunch of goodies. Here's what I've got going on in the next week- Full service on the car which includes: Oil and filter change, diff oil change, gear oil change, spark plugs change, MAF clean, fuel sending unit clean. Oils I'm using- Motul 300v chrono 10w40 engine oil K&n oil filter Redline heavy lightweight shockproof diff oil 75w90 gl5 NGK Iridium spark plugs Genuine Nissan gear oil Mods and such happening soon- Installing BC BR Racing coilovers (purchased should receive them soon) SPC Front camber kit install (purchasing next week) Front and rear wheel spacers (purchasing next week) decided to get a set again and put them on since I'm sick of this wheel gap Changing my bonnet hinges as one is bent and rubbing on my fender causing paint chipping. Aaaand that's about it I think. Lucky me got another week off holidays to get all this done, apart from the camber kit and spacers because they're coming from the US.
  4. Yeah nah no point for another section laaaaad
  5. If your thinking about getting BC Coils make sure you get the BC BR True Style coils, they are the upgraded ones from the V1 and have stronger internals. I have just bought my self a set of those off Boostn Imports in brissy for $1199 delivered to my door.
  6. Yep this too, BOTH front comp rod bushes have been replaced on my car it makes a bad creaking noise over bumps and some tight turns. I'd check all your bushes before you go changing to coil overs if thats the only reason why you were thinking of upgrading anyway
  7. Good decision! My mrs encouraging me to spend MORE money in unheard of so I wouldn't argue with that haha.
  8. Good on you for posting this mate, hopefully whoever owns it sees this!
  9. My wheels are 20x8.5 and 20x10 +25 front and back and they sit inside the guards a fair bit at the front. Back wheels need probably a 15mm spacer to be flush and I'd say a 25mm at the front to be flush or there abouts. Try to get close to low teens offsets and you'll be sitting pretty.
  10. Ok that's good you know that. Good luck, you should find something
  11. Given the fact that our car isn't a commonwhore commodore/generic family car there isn't going to be any shops locally that will have an exhaust on the shelf for you.. What is your budget? You will be spending $500+ on a system unless you can find a cheap used HKS replica exhaust locally or something of the sort.
  12. Cal - there is a ridiculous amount of Audi A4's in Townsville no shit I've seen like 30 in 3 days.. They love them up here.
  13. That sucks man! I've just purchased some coils or I'd probably be on this. From what I've read these are top quality coilovers
  14. Jono you should have a chat to Iron Chef on here, he will tell you to be careful with the cheap GTR's and can help source you a mint one at a decent price, same with you benny. I've seen a couple of dirt cheap r32 GTR's on car sales etc and they look rough but I guess if its a project car or whatever then it won't matter, but I guess you pay for what you get.
  15. Why are you selling them if I may ask? These are an awesome bit of gear.
  16. Have seen a couple of liners up here since Monday. 2 white r33's (might have been the same one only saw it from behind while I was at the hotel) also saw a white r34 with vic plates had white te37 Varrstoen reps on the back. There's a nice blue mx5 I've been seeing every day in the car park of Oaks which is where I'm staying. Must live here. Anyone in here?
  17. Leon would probably do it if it was replacing instead of rebuilding the box lol. Not sure who else would be well priced and reliable in town though man
  18. Lol the hinges were rusted solid? dear me.. wonder what else was wrong with that car.. cheers Andy i didn't look that far into it, but that's good news!
  19. turns out it's actually a really common problem with the hinges starting to bend.. quite weird if you ask me. But yeah i need to see if it can be done without removing the fenders, after some reading on g35driver.com it seems the fender has to come off. But in saying that a bunch of people were also commenting saying no you don't have to take it off.. we'll see lol.
  20. Sounds like big job, but here's what i found http://g35driver.com/forums/drivetrain/345132-diy-5at-6mt-swap.html
  21. Amazingly enough, Nissan came through. Must be a new bloke that works at my local Nissan because he's the first one to actually know what a V35 is lol. $65 for a set of hinges coming from Melbourne so that's good news. My next issue is apparently you have to remove the fender to get the hinges undone.. that sounds like fun.
  22. Andy, thanks heaps for that link i didn't realise how common this issue was. First time i saw it i thought to myself "shit it's been in an accident" lol. I don't see why they'd be different either, it just seems to look like they are judging by the pictures. Not sure if i should go ahead and buy the hinges from the U.S yet. I might give Nissan a ring today and see if they can help but i highly doubt it.
