my mech thinks the heavier grade the better. If it's too light it causes problems. That's why i'm switching from Amsoil gear oil to genuine Nissan supposedly some of the guys that run aftermarket oils on my gearbox have problems.

give redline shockproof a shot, might do your box some good. If you leave it unactioned it will get very bad over time

Most people swap the oil out for some Redline Shockproof, but if your gearbox is as far gone as you lead me to believe it is then it will more than likely do nothing. I had a worn 5th synchro and the gate to 3rd was slowly deteriorating in my old gearbox, swapped oil out for some shockproof and i couldn't tell the difference between the 2 oils.. Other than that i doubt anything will fix your problem. Time for a new box if the oil doesn't do anything

First time in AGES have i seen someone in Mackay with another V35. Pulled in behind a black 06 auto V35 today when getting fuel. Awwww man don't get me started on commy's with chev badges. I saw one yesterday with a commodore, holden, ss AND a chev badge on the back. Very true, people give them shit if they put Nissan badges on their cars.

jump on eBay and look for the seller named k2motors they have a gloss black emblemless grille for about $120 delivered to here. That's ok i just have this thing against people Americanising JDM cars

why? your car isn't American. I have the same emblemless grille as you Locky too, much prefer it keeps people guessing.

anyone know who stocks Motul 300v chrono 10w40 engine oil locally? tried calling autobarn but they were busy so i'll duck in there after work just wanting to know if anyone knew for sure a shop that has it in town. cheers

tyre choice has been covered heaps of times, give the search function in this section a go and have a read of what some people have said about tyres. You can stretch pretty much any tyre. You'll need to lower the car if you want it to look like the above picture

it has projectors, must be a 06-07 because they are stupidly expensive to buy from Nissan..

yeah what are your offsets? on those wheels i'm guessing they'll be high teens if not mid 20's

350gt's have even better grunt for a p plater! unless your in NSW then your unlucky.

yeh and rda/dba have cheap rotors too, good quality as well.

yeh the box in my 03 was buggered after 80,000km. previous owners clearly did something wrong but still.

ok great thanks for that mate, i posted on JDM obsessions facebook but i will email them now and see what's going around. I might even bite the bullet and pay the extra for the SPC front kit. At the end of the day, it is suspension and plays a pretty bit role in the cars safety so i'll nut it out over the next week and see what i want to do.

I did originally think of SPL but i have always seen them as being more expensive as SPC parts. I'll check out JDM obsession and see what they can do for me, are they here in Oz? edit: Locky i'm on their site and can't see anything about them stocking SPL parts for the V35 only s chassis cars

Okay so in the next week i'm going to be purchasing a new set of BC BR coilovers, and to go with that i'm going to need a front camber kit. I would really like a set of SPC camber arms, i have always liked their product and they are reasonably affordable. Only problem is i can't seem to find anyone in Oz that supplies them, and a new set from the states is $500. I am dealing with Mick @ Boostn Imports down in Brisbane for my coilovers, he has suggested a brand called "Hard race" i have never heard of them before, and for $349 a set i'm not sure on how good the build quality is. I know they are popular amongst the Honda scene just wanted to know how they go on our cars if not similar. Mick says they are usually a popular seller with his business and they are a good product i'm just after some user feedback or if anyone could point me in the direction of a product similar to SPC that won't cost me an arm and a leg.
