Seano350GT replied to vee35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Lol Mat i had an older bloke on a motorbike pull up next to me at lights and he said "hey mate that's a good lookin car for a good lookin bloke" and i was like uhhhhhhhhhmmm thanks.. haha Don't even get me started on Great Wall.. i have a mate that sells them. F*ck knows how anyone in their right mind could buy one. -
I'm 21, lost licence 2 years ago for speeding, insured with RACQ for $2200 a year and an agreed value of $26k..i pay $184 a month because it's a big whack of money to pay at once. Shouldn't have lost my licence years ago it's killed me, even though i was doing 70 in a 60 zone twice within a week apart and lost it.

I think the engine light came on, to be honest i just thought to myself ahhh shit then tried starting the car again i didn't take note of exactly which lights came on. Yes Tony i used the clutch appropriately haha, thanks mate it's fine up here now haven't had rain since yesterday afternoon it's nice and sunny now with a bit of cloud so i reckon it's gone further south. My boss was blocked in this morning had trees down over his driveway and smashed windows from the wind.. got pretty crazy out where he is. -

Strange Experience Today
Seano350GT replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Ok so i checked the MAF and intake this morning when i got to work and it all seems tight, started it up and let it get warm. Drove it around same as i did yesterday and had no problems at all. So i guess it's all sweet, if i have the problem again i'll get a scan tool on it. Thanks for the advice -

Okay great, thanks for your help i will check out the intake tomorrow. I also have access to a scan tool at work too so that's handy if that's needed. -

Hm well i do have a Injen CAI but i didn't check if the MAF was connected or not. I have done 350km on this tank and have a good 15-20l of fuel left so that wouldn't be an issue. -
So today i parked my car in the usual spot at work and did not move it for 9ish hours. I got in my car this afternoon to move it around the back of my work (as i'm storing it in the workshop because we're getting a f*ck load of rain/flood) and all of a sudden my revs drop from 2k to 0 and the car stalls. I naturally thought "What the f*ck?" then i started the car again, drive 10 metres then it cuts again. So now i'm starting to get worried.. started the car again and drove another 15m into the workshop then turned it off. When i first lost revs i also got a few lights come up from what i remember it was battery and a few others. Popped the bonnet and had a look around checked the belts to see if they were very loose but they were tight and everything else seemed ok. I am really not sure what's happened, we have got a hell of a lot of rain up here in the last 48 hours i'm just wondering if my car has just died because it's been driven 20m in the last 2 days and hasn't warmed up at all since it's been left in the cold the whole time. Any feedback would be good, hopefully i get in it tomorrow and it starts fine and i have no problems.

Diy - V35 Door Lock Actuator / Power Window Removal
Seano350GT replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Alright so maybe you can answer my questions Chris. Does the window have to come out? What is the easiest way to access the door lock and replace it? and what is the average time you'd think it'd take 2 mechanically sound blokes to do it? -
V35 Cd003 Rebuild Kit
Seano350GT replied to hydragundam01's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Don't bother, unless it's not your daily drive and you want a project or something to rebuild.. if not just buy the CD009 like i did. $1700 brand new from ConceptZPerformance in the US. Deal with Coz. -
Nissan Skyline V35 350Gt P-Plate Approved In Nsw?
Seano350GT replied to alex29794's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Nope, these cars are on the banned list in NSW. Luckily for me in QLD they are legal and i'm on my P's. Other option would be buying an Autech S15 maybe, i'm pretty sure they're P plate legal in NSW. -

Seano350GT replied to Seano350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Yeah your right mate, i am more than likely going to be selling it to the bloke that's doing the swap for me for dirt cheap as in couple hundred for everything. -
Diy - V35 Door Lock Actuator / Power Window Removal
Seano350GT replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
bump.. need to know of someone that's done the door lock actuator replacement.. -
So i am about to swap out my current CD001 gearbox for the CD009 in about a weeks time. I am just putting this up to see if anyone would be interested in the gearbox clutch and flywheel. The gearbox has 93,000km on it and has a bad 5th synchro (grinds when you change gear fast but doesn't when you change very slow). 3rd gear doesn't like changing in at high rpm in 2nd gear. Other than these 2 issues, it's still driveable as my car is my daily drive. The clutch is supposedly a twin plate Exedy (so the previous owner says) i'm not 100% sure on this so i will find out once it's out of the car. I also beleive that flywheel is just stock. Let me know if anyone is interested, i'll be selling it all cheap and i should be able to deliver it Australia wide at the buyers expense. So maybe someone that's handy with gearboxes might want to rebuild it or something who knows. Also the clutch is in good condition it's never slipped and i don't ride it at all. Thanks

Just watched a video by a cyclone chaser and he basically said that the rainfall we're going to get over the next 3 days is going to be close to 1000ml.. meant to be 300ml today and tomorrow and friday.. Starting to get quite nervous about leaving my car parked in a potential flood zone and at my house which is the same story. Wish i had a garage fuuuuuuuuuu.

Hey mate welcome, You won't need to roll guards with 18'' wheels unless your insanely low and have meaty as f*ck tyres. Not sure on tyre specs for that size rim, if it were 20's i could help. Make sure you at least buy a rear camber kit when you lower your car, unless your going to chew through tyres like mad even with an allignment. But yes as Tony says i'm pretty sure there's a dedicated wheel/tyre specs thread on here somewhere, use the search function mate.

Diy - V35 Door Lock Actuator / Power Window Removal
Seano350GT replied to rs73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
has anyone found a guide for the DIY door lock actuator replacement? I keep finding the $5 fix but i have a actuator here ready to go, i replaced the power window motor yesterday and that was easy but the door lock actuator looks very tricky to get to and i didn't want to play with it until i found a guide. cheers -
What Have You Done To Your V-Series Today?
Seano350GT replied to SMOKEYV35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Just finished replacing the power window motor on my drivers side, me and a mate did the job in just under 2 hours and neither of us have replaced a window motor on these cars before. Now we are just doing a bit more research into the door lock actuator replace because it looks very tricky.. then replacing the door lock actuator tomorrow morning. Finally i have a normal window rather than a slow one and i now have the "auto" up and down feature back lol. -

I have a similar problem with my drivers seat, sounds like the motor is dying. Moves slow and doesn't go as far back as it originally did, need to get some spare time to fix up little things like that.
