  1. I missread what Tony wrote, i thought he meant drag car for some reason. Oh yes, i know him. He works as a detailer at Autocorner lol and is most definitely as gay as his plates.
  2. Hiace van with a 2J f*ck yeah
  3. Sweet i found a set of the carbon ones on eBay a few weeks ago for about $350 for a set delivered. Not bad and they look great.
  4. Wow.. 26km on the clock that's unreal. Worth a fortune.
  5. good point Tony, they're lighter too right?
  6. This bloke seems to this otherwise, but i do trust your judgement and experience. Well i'd love to turbo or supercharge my v35 once i'm on my opens but i don't know if i would prefer to sell it and buy another jdm car that's already turbo'd and work from there. Owell, i've got ages to think about it...
  7. well i've always loved the shape of the s15 it's such an appealing looking car and i was speaking to a mate last night that's owned both s15 and r34 and he thinks that the sr20 has much more torque and he just generally loved it more than the rb motor so i guess that's something to think about. on another note, my gearbox has finally arrived from the US of A. Leon's doing the swap for me this Friday, keeeen!
  8. Ok i'd jump on either conceptzperformance.com or jm auto racing in the states and look up a couple of the clutch and flywheel combo's they've got going. I'm just about to do a CD009 gearbox swap in my car and i've purchased a Southbend clutch and flywheel combo for $750 which is a bargain. $1700 LOL. I'd be finding a new mechanic. I've got a shop here to do my work for me which includes: Gearbox clutch flywheel rear main seal throw out bearing gearbox oil and clutch fluid change. ALSO ss clutch lines and pivot ball change for $700... not sure how different the r34's are to work on but that sounds insanely overpriced
  9. Replacing clutches is usually an expensive job for a shop to do. If i were you, i'd be replacing other parts at the same time but if your strapped for cash you can get a good quality clutch that will hold the factory power for under $400. I would go for a clutch & flywheel combo as there's some good discounts and deals going on them. But it depends what you want, do you want a heavy duty clutch? twin plate or even triple?
  10. Looking good Cal bet you can't wait to start her up for the first time. Rob- I am also strongly thinking about stepping into an s15 when i get off these p plates..
  11. Chris are your mirrors just wrapped or are they the proper carbon ones i've seen on eBay?
  12. Don't know why people have been hating on the oil cooler, as long as it's actually working then who cares.. it looks good and i don't think i've ever seen one on a V35. Chris, you're boosted right?
  13. Actually Tony i'm not 100% sure if we're even going to Toowoomba via Brisbane yet, it's going to cost us too much money in flights and travel and everything. Plus we've left it a bit too late to book flights so the prices have gone way up and we are awful at committing to plans. I'll let you know but.
  14. Alvin, just out of curiosity how do you manage to get a full respray through insurance? I've heard of people doing it but i can't work out how you could claim it unless someone has keyed every panel of your car or something of the sort?
  15. Chris your car stands out so well, my god it's perfect.
  16. God damn i knew this thread would attract the trolls and as per usual they have performed well. What a laugh kawasakirider, thank you!
  17. Now i've seen it all.. that is impressive!
  18. That looks pretty good colour coded John. Lol about people asking what your car is, i was getting fuel yesterday afternoon and i was walking towards the servo doors when i see a bunch of kids on scooters and shit looking at it telling eachother what it is. I heard one of them say "that's a bentley", they were like 10. Hahah.
  19. I agree Ben, but i prefer the Prado interior probably the only thing i don't like about the FJ is the square windscreen doesn't feel like there's much vision out the front of the car but other than that i like them.
  20. Go for a Prado Jono.. 150 series (current model) a couple of years old with low km's is going to cost you mid 50's depending on the model. I would go for a GXL personally. Keep in mind too a Toyota is going to hold it's value better than most other cars in the market and they are damn reliable. I have a few here at work mate.
  21. Yes it's the wet season up here. Cyclones and heavy rain.
  22. Hey James, for future reference which shop did you buy the cam sensors from? Did a bit of a search on the net and couldn't seem to find anywhere. By the way, i drove the car home after work and had no problems at all. Really is a mystery as to what happened, i still think somehow it's because of the cold over the last 3 days.
  23. Haha i had to get new blades the other week, walked into autobarn and thought to myself "oh shit i bet they don't have ones for my car" so i asked the bloke which blades would fit a 350z and i grabbed them thinking they'd be the same. I had to modify them a bit.. (cut 1/4 of it off) and they fit aha
  24. Never seen that before.. change your wiper blades and windscreen water
