hey, you're right, Saab engine does look similar. motor was noisey in the head, took rocker cover off and found lose bolts on the camgear. hopefully thats it... Got a guy to play around with the carbs and tuned it a little so it would run. Not sure if its got more issues that need sorting, but accelerator.... ive driven more responsive 30yro Ford Broncos. Apparently everything takes ages to warm up etc, thats just the nature of the beast... yet all triumph owners complain about overheating issues lol. i think i need to drive a well sorted carby car to see what the deal is, but this triumph certainly aint it

sif you dont have V-cam. every GTR should have v-cam. v-cam is the coolest.

I've used Keysborough diffs. They were helpful, knowledgeable and well priced. Dont judge the guys by the state of the shop lol. They did some custom work for me so stuff thats meant to bolt together is pretty basic.

I'm sure there's something going on behind the scenes. Better off forking out for something else. They were getting into importing and containers or something. Something might have gone sour or personal issues with employees/owner.

Rocker cover gasket will probably perish if sneezed on, so gotta source another before ripping the cover off... Otherwise it runs and drives pretty good apparently. Could be timing chain guide is gone, but that's too much work.

looking at reviews of new Gran Turismo... im glad I moved on from that series. I gave up at GT5, and sooooo glad I did. Nothing has improved, only gotten worse.
