  1. Living away from home for 10months starts to take its toll. Lots of car friends to catch up with and a back-catalogue of work to do on cars. If you want I can hook you up with some cheap Neons to make you feel better? (proper Neons, not that LED pleb stuff)
  2. Yep but pulsar hasnt been to a big meet in... Years. Plus gathering of VIP cars who havent seen in a while or freshly imported.
  3. Just found out I'm going to be away for Downshift meet at end of month. Damn it. FIFO come at me
  4. Ive done a stealth audio system in the gloria, will be putting purple neons on eventually. srs.

  6. Car stereos are making a comeback. Since they started those noise/bass comps up again last 2 years, people are all over it again. Sometimes people with POS cars not worth modifying so they just seal them up and put 500kgs of stereo gear in.
  7. 2kW amp for da bass
  8. M8, your falcon is a wannabe land barge. This is legit Japanese UZ V8 boat anchor
  9. Naught to 20kmhs an hour? Probably not. V8 auto m8
  10. just the entire car build. Full stereo, everything converted to LED, full custom Raspberry Pi/Android touch screen + navigation, full boot install with airbags, headrest monitors, rear tables. Those exhaust tips were from Nick's collection.
  11. Lol that's my mates car. Don't underestimate it. Also bought a navy suit. Nothing needed altering, even found a shirt that matched and fit 100%. Was super impressed. Went with a dark navy. Now need to find a set of chocolate brown shoes.
  12. I'm confident deleting the airbag is instant defect UNLESS the model of car was offered with non-airbag version. eg series 1 R33 (I believe) Not sure about fixed back seat, if the car is registered as a 4 seater, then there needs to be 4 seatbelts, regardless of whether its been "converted" unless Vicroads have approved the change.
  13. Shaun of the dead was mainstream. And it was damn good. Baby Driver marketing hit full speed this week out of nowhere. Good reviews and solid US box office means they go all out when it hits aus 3 weeks late
  14. It's just like watching any sports. Some moments are exciting, but appreciation comes from knowing the skills involved. Saw Baby Driver last night. It's good. Worth seeing.
  15. im always amazed at how many smaller leagues or comps there are going at one time just in the international scene. Not sure who watches it all... Part of the problem is the games. DOTA/LoL/Smite/Heroes Of The Storm. are variations of the same thing.
  16. Birds, leigh: CSGO majors on next weekend in Poland. might do some live betting. 8hour timezone difference though, makes it a bit tough. might only watch a match or two, but theres always gambling to be had. https://www.esports-betting.pro/counter-strike-cs-go/pgl-major-krakow-2017/
  17. what sort of issues can you tell us about John? car was stolen, 90's import. Full comp or just laid-up cover?
  18. What motor? Boost, so 1J soarer?
  19. I've been to Clive cams before for replicating a grind and their machines were limited to 10mm lift I think. But yeah, I will speak to tuner and then hunt down a set of OEM cams. If I'm not happy with the outcome, I'll probably revert back. Thanks for contributions.
  20. Supplier 1. $800 more expensive is sort of a drop in the ocean for a reliable and guaranteed service. Unless we're talking like office coffee supplier or something. Also lol, would never wear a suit that looked like that extreme non-tailored look. I just wasn't sure of the limitations of alterations... When it comes to colour and pinstripes n shit, it's just down to preference yeah? I could Google this shit, but I'm expecting shitty Gentleman Quarterly articles about needing 12 suits for different occasions, and $450 ties for men who earn $450 a week making coffee for a living.
  21. hahahaha my cousin and family would be so happy if i rocked up wearing that to her wedding... Speaking of McG, I hear that press conference was uber cringe. only 3 more to go!
  22. they look great, ActionDan... looks like something my dad could whip up for a cheap and useful christmas gift...
  23. I can't shed too much light on skyline specifics... but I did go to some effort with my Y34 (same rear end as Z33/V35 for the most part). Sourced an R34 GTT helical diff, and even just looking at the centre while they were still in the housings, you could tell it wasn't going to work. I got told it would work if you swap over the half shafts etc, but it needed some serious shims at a minimum. I ended up getting an NM35 helical diff centre and took it to the diff workshop. Even though it was "bolt-in" one of the half-shafts needed to be machined down to work. $150 for the diff centre, $550 labour. So it worked out well for me, but I was lucky to sell the R34 diff at the same price I bought it... not to mention the time it took me to gather all the bits, disassemble, compare etc. Lesson learnt: it is easier to just buy an aftermarket swappable centre, even if its pricey UNLESS you are 100% sure of a direct swap (and by 100%, I really mean 100%). Upgrading diffs was one of the best mods I did. Car drives so much better. Next to no wheelspin, ever.
  24. Yeah, i know advertised cam specs are to be used as a guide only. Most cam manufacturers specify if springs and retainers are recommended with the cam, so i dont think the top shelf camshafts compromise performance for the sake of stock valvetrain. With the GTiR head being lash type rockers, tomei poncams are not compatible, only Procams can be used. And with most GTiR builds being wannabe GTRs with 600hp good for about 2 launches, mot available cams are aggressive. I did find a mild cam but it was even less duration and lift than OEM!
  25. Something to get the pulsar ready for...
