  1. Will do. Probably just stay with p98 as the car sits for long periods of time. Only get it out about 6 times a year. Won't be getting the final tune for a while yet.
  2. Just read your post from start to finish. Good to see the progress from start to finish. Did you go bigger in the injectors from the 800 odd cc ones. I have a similar setup with the gtx3582r and 1000cc injectors with a 3l built bottom end ported neo head s2 pon cams. Currently on run in tune. 5000 rpm limit 14psi i see 349rwhp so 260rwkw with no timing as had a problem with the tps. On pump 98. When its run in i will be throwing bigger injectors at it ew ecu instead of the nistune. Hopefully see around 480 to 520 on pump and 600ish on e85. Still debating on the e85. All built by myself. Including my own exhaust manifold and 3.5 inch dump pipe and 3 exhaust that i made. Bare in mind i have it in a lc gtr torana that tips the scales at 1057kgs.
  3. I too have a similar situation but mine appears to be from the rear passenger side. I have noticed a bit of oil around the front cover but it doesn't drip from there at all. Haven't looked into it much as i have walked away from it and other things for a bit. I re torqued my head just to make sure and used a rb30 mls cometic 1.3mm head gasket. Head was fully refurbed by a head shop and block was also machined sqr to deck when built to get 100% 0 deck height and blue print it.

Rb 30 suffers from harmonic vibrations more than a 25 or 26 yes but due to advances in engine building and design over the years many RB30 have been known to spin as high as 10000 RPM and stay together due to finer balancing tolerances. When I built mine I told the Machine Shop it would be spinning to 9000 RPM and built to produce 1000 horsepower. This insuring my 7500 RPM rev limit will be safe and I will not break the engine due to overpowering it at 700 horsepower.   11. What comp ratio as this buid is almost exactly the same as mine. i have 1000cc injectors thats all that is different and ecu.
  12. Leaks about 20mls everytime i take it for a drive and only from the rear passenger side.
  13. No didn't use anything to stick the gasket down and the tuner said to use the oil the engine will use all the time.
  14. Lube was used on threads to tension block was decked square to tunnel and head was machined with reco and port work i use hpr5 penrite. engine was run in on a dyno. I do think i have over filled the oil tho too.
  15. Yes it will be fine. but i wouldn't give it anymore . I only run max of 24psi boost when its tuned.
  16. No just checked it was at 110nm and than gave it a bit more to 118nm
  17. Just used 3 equal steps to torque it down. rechecked them yesterday and they where all set at 110nm. Reset the tension rench to 118nm and gave them all a bit more. will see how it goes.
  18. Rb30 25 neo cometic head gasket problem Ok everyone. Problem is a brand new engine 30 25 neo so all surfaces are machined flat fitted cometic rb30 head gasket and have a oil leak between the head and block rear passenger side. The gasket can only fit one way so thats not the problem. Engine has 1mm oil restrictors fitted and vct mod. Just pulled the covers off and checked the torque settings at 110nm i know that it's 108.49nm for arp studs. Just bumped it up to 118nm figured it couldn't hurt much. Can anyone give me any insight as to why it might leak. Thanks in advance.
  19. Base pressure is 3 bar 43.5psi Boost 22 to 24psi pump fuel. Gtx3582r .82 rear 1000cc injectors Ported head cams Springs 30 25neo with vct forged bottom end 3.5 inch dump 3 inch straight through Want to crack 500 to 550rwhp.
  20. 1000cc injectors Just wanted to know what power everyone is making with 1000cc injectors on pump 98 and e85 and at what duty cycle. Have read the build thread but not many people running 1000cc injectors
  21. Thanks for the tip. Are you referring to the tps fitment or the earth wire that goes near the temp sender.
