  1. Hey guys, firstly, i've researched alot and this is more for second opinion. I'm moving to a signle turbo high mount set-up, i looked into GT3582R, 5858, 6262, and GTX3076. My mechanic reckons 3082's the way to go, but im of the mind that a GTX3076 is what im looking for, im aiming for a responsive 320-340awkw on 98. my plan is T3 6boost mani, into GTX3076r .82 A/R into 3.5"dump back exhaust. It just seems that the 82 housing is too large on a GT30, plus garret doesnt advertise them so custom match nowadays? From what ive plotted on the compressor map i believe the GTX3076 is what im looking for. My question, is it worth going T3 split pulse and twin scroll, will it actually affect response? or just go single scroll T3? or would going the 3082 with twinscroll T4 be on the money? Additionally will going to the 1.06 A/R be noticably laggier given the relatively small/light compressor housing? worth looking into to meet my power/response goal. The car is my daily but will be seing track work. cheers in advance Dan PS please dont say go -9s
  2. Hey guys WTB an RB26 6Boost manifold kakimoto Regu06&R for an R32 (maybe a similar 3.5" exhaust if the right deal arises) 3.5' high flow cat 3.5" single dump. MAYBE GTX3075r/GTX3576r if <5k on it, Im Located brisbane and ideally looking for pickup, although may buy from interstate. PM with details thanks. Dan
  3. so is this ^^ just meaning add a 26 plenum to a 25NEO head to your 26 block, to make an RB26 with VCT?
  4. hangon, forgive my ingorance here, but how does one simply add VVT to an RB26 head? i've heard of the HKS VCON, (or whatever it is called) and the NEOs have VVT but not the 26 heads, or have i TOTALLY miussed something? cheers
  5. can you please sned me pics of the intake, pm'd number
  6. Yeah great fun, first time at the track and had an absolute blast. had a few rookie errors 100% full tank.... (left turn lateral G causing a little bit of fuel to spill out the cap... frkkkkkkk ) and popped an intake hose off the turbo on thye last straight.,.... (i think/hope) ill wait for her to cool and ytake to her with a spanner and a can of redbull. Thanks for organising sucha good event! Dan
  7. Mint white r33 gtr waiting northbound at the settlement rd/waterworks rd intersection last night at rough 1950 h. You know my black gtr was staring at that sexy ride...
  8. Wow mate, absolutely amazing results, makes you proud to be a gtr owner again!
  9. ^^^ You mean to tell me that's not how all skyline owners park??? Haha On a more serious note, us skyline owners get a bad rap sometimes, I pulled into a servo yesterday, (unknowingly through the exit driveway) and the woman at the counters like "your not allowed to get in that way.. You have to go round the block like everyone else does" so I apologise, and admit i wasnt aware and the harpy continues. At this point I'm not too happy so say something to the effect of.. Great service, certainly won't be coming back... N she says "good, we don't need your kind around here anyway" Say what??? Stereotyped... Sheesh, awell, gave her a wink and strolled out with a smile and enjoyed my weekend /rantover
  10. Cheers, I honestly actually haven't used clay bar on my car before, was going to pick one up tomorrow after work. I'm pretty sure I'll need to use a heavy cut polish to buff it out though, I'll need to see how the clay goes though!! So wait out I guess.
  11. Wow thanks for the replies guys!!!! Was a hella scary ordeal as I had never had that happen before!! I spoke to the place and went back, they just denied everything and said something got on it between leaving the wash and parking. N e how tried some different strength polishes and it IS Buffing out, Kind of... the first product I usedc when I flipped out wasn't a very strong cut... So thinking ill need to invest in an orbital polisher... I'm a little worried about how the clear coat is going to take it. I'm concerned I won't get it back to 100% but I'm hopeful now I feel a little sheepish now... Lesson learnt to ALWAYS dry post wash!!!! Any tips for using an orbital buffer??
  12. nahh, used it before. it was the underbody wash i;ve never used before
  13. i've used it once before didnt have a problem. first time usign the underbody cleaner and its all over the car,
  14. hmmmmm, although my car was't in the sun, i came back and parked it undercover on base.. and alot of those appear to be straight through to the paint i can physically feel the deptch of the hole, ill investigate this orbital buffer though!
  15. Guys, i washed my car at the superfast carwash (think thats what its called) a self wash place and it ate the clearcoat and paint.... see my thread in paint detialling for pics http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/439195-how-the-fk-does-this-happen-help/ anyone used it and had issued before? cheers dan
  16. i.. want.. to... cry.... theres no way i could put it back on the car wash though. you use coins and they can jsut deny it! i guess its good im insured, would they do a respray on something like this? im genuinely shattered right now
  17. ohhh and this is what it looked like not too long ago For its age the paint was IMMACULATE. im absolutely shattered.
  18. Okay guys this is an emergency.. i washed my car thismorning at a wash it yourself place, i didnt dry it on the spot as i was going to polish and wax it this arvo, NOW i go out this arvo to polish the car and the pain is FKED, like proper ruined. the clearcoat has almost completely been eaten (in 6 hours) and into the paint. the only difference to how i would usually wash was i used their under car high pressure clean, however its supposedly just water.. have a look at this.. after a coat of polish!!!! Front right quarter Car roof. that has literally just eaten the paint job.. so uhhh, i dont know what else to say.. WTF?
