Making an R33 GTR 2 wheel drive

i thought it worked on a fuse relay? take out the fuse and instant RWD? .... far as i know at autosalon that GTR ran a 4wd run then a 2WD in one "session" MT -
i take it u mean an electric boost solenoid? to run alongside functions from the Wolf3d V4 ... i have myself an electric one ... but no wolf3d as yet .. but seeing it has been used prior on a GTR thru a Profec A i think .. i should be able to graft the wires into the loom setup of the wolf hand controller.. have to talked to someone that specializes in Wolf3ds other than were urs was installed? try www.rankrotary.com.au Matt

your hubs and wheel stubs and studs are usual engineered for a certain amount of stress .. hence the max of offset ppl use and what wheels are manufactured to .... there's a point where u have too much offset and your suspension suffers greatly ... look at buying wheels with more dish .. like a +9mm offset .. as standard is about +27mm or is it negative .. i forget ...offset your rims .. not your studs spacers are a no no ...generating more lateral stress on your stub and wheel bearing .... hence shorter life span in that regard. go for JIC dude ......better product all round imo u could go Zeal if u can find em 2nd hand, coz brand new they'll cost ya about 1200 per corner from memory. .and they are REAL STIFF MT -

Shit . i got some chasing up to do now Sharky... i'm only at 116! .. Bastard! where abouts are u getting your work done at m8 and how much boost are u running? How much are hi flowed 32 turbos worth these days? i'm looking to upgrade turbo pretty soon .. but i'm looking towards a GT28R ...but depending on cost a hi flow 32 turbo maybe easy to source on a budget. Hi guys i'm doing a little investigation on a new turbo for my coupe, hopefully for install around june next year. Anyways i'm not particular sure on what to look for, being a n00b and all. I'm looking to buy a T3/T04 Garrett Spec Turbo with a 57 Trim and a 0.48 A/R internally wastegated ....i have a vague idea what it means but not a clue how it translates into where boost comes in and how much its rated at. I'm looking to making up to 250rwkw in shootmode at 1.2bar at the MOST. But being a daily i dont wanna have to rev the christ out of the ole red top to make boost..specially if i'm in peak hour traffic trying to get home. and being a Rb20 off boost theyre pretty sluggish at the best of times - to me anyways. http://www.turbocalculator.com/compressor-...aps/t04e-57.jpg my other options are GT25030 or GT28 .... but costs really get out of control and pretty much **** my budget. Tried searching but couldnt find what iwas lookin for i'm planning to Wolf3d my skyline sometime next year .. But im concerned in regards to my auto transmission taking the extra output it MAY bring ..along with the other mods i have planned .. initially i'm aimming at 200rwkws.. possibly more .. as ive heard of some standard autos still going with over 200kw going thru them. My question is will the auto be able to sustain that sort of power thru it for any length of time?.. providing i dont drive the living christ out of it all day .. would an oil cooler help it last longer? and what are my options beyond a standard auto? Thanks Matt

hey waz i didnt realise that was you ..... GTR cams and all and 108rwkw .... the pinging was audible first time on . but after the additive u couldnt quite hear it. was much better ... i thought anyways i would look into your timing ... maybe retarding it will help it ..... coz i think its too far advanced personally (which is the usual symtom of pinging) ....plus with the higher lifting gtr cams. extremely low for a turbo car? bit harsh aint ya ? mine pulled 95rwkw stock as a rock when i bought it ...... happily i can say with a zorst and filter i'm at 116rwkw today ..hehe they were still going when i left at about 4 ..would be just bout finished now *hope i get a proper print out of my graphs* Matt

as i own a R31 Rb20det ... cam duration being IN : 248deg and EX :240deg .. with 7.8mmlift upgrading to the gtr IN : 240deg and EX : 236deg the 8.5mm lift .. will i actually gain anymore .. and is it possible to tune them with adjustable timing gears pacifically for more torque rather than top end power.. Well done to Waz on the successful setup ..sounds very promising for the other rb20 owners thats for sure -
u could try RevZone in nundawading .. however u spell it .. Varman Crt just near springvale and whitehorse road .. they had a silvia with a Rb20 in there ... but that got prohibited about 3 weeks after it made it onto the road.
