  1. interesting results waz .. getting the mixtures right has done wonders. at least gives me an idea how the GTR cams go as well. thanks i'm made 116 on my last dyno ..selectmaz and is running super rich .. hopefully a temp fix of a SAFC will get my AFRs right ..i neva got my sheet from selectmaz so idunno where it was at on the day. i'm investin in new leads and plugs and possibly Eboost unit (EBC) along side the RB25 turbo i have to put on with my cooler.. and probably a screamer pipe too .. hopefully i'll see some good numbers next dyno day.   4. 600bucks for a any one of the above mentioned Cats is damn expensive horsepower, i must say but 600bucks for an apexi..fark ..i know someone that got one on he;s GTR from japan for $225 he said. dunno how that works. its a "legal" cat. But its up to the discretion of the cop if u get pulled over isnt it? Visually it doesnt look like any but a 4inch bit of pipe? whats stopping them from reaming you? Victoria coppers especially.

  7. only thing i know that has 2.77 gears is a ford fairlaine borg warner diff....but i do know the carrier housing can have 4.11 nissan gears fitted to it ... done so for the last speedway car maybe see if its possible thru some diff specialists ... could be possible ... but hard to say coz its neva been done b4.   8. i dont think that is what the discussion is about, dude. :bonk: :idea: the turbo is roughly able to support somewhere near 500hp perhaps more. not too sure coz i'm yet to see a compressor map. At least then it would give everyone an indication of its "gurth"
  9. interesting. i've heard nothing but kudos about them on RB30's and RB25s ..from a guy that works are Rank Rotary and ATP i think .....had alot of 250 plus rwkw results on calais and what not .. most guys been picking them up for 1400 at the most. iwant one for my RB24 build up Matt
  10. i was told it spured from the events after the death of that young bloke and he;s R33 on st kilda road .. events being he;s m8s went there as a tribute . .did burn outs and drag raced at the scene of the accident..... so i'm told ... cops didnt try and stop it .. they said it was "out of their control" ... so basically they want the public to take action and "dob in a hoon" well i reckon they can all GET ****ED!   12. something like these would be what u want .. pretty sure thats a Rb20DE ..or maybe 25 .. anyways ...same difference .. R31house in japan i think made these .. dont quote me ..just assuming that coz the photo was on their website. ..so the headers suit R31 ..so somethingl ike that would easy fit into your car i would think. the latter 3 pics are of a rb30 de with solex carbies i think .. or maybe something else...   13. just a quick noob question ... i have GTR injectors to go into my new "to be built" engine .. how much HP/RWKW do GTR 444cc injectors support? anywhere up to 300rwkw? and will they support more if they are backed up with a rising rate fuel reg? Thanks Matt will help me decide weither to sell them when my m8 upgrades from he's 660's in he;s GTR and buy them.
  14. My friend uses Camry Plugs in he's .. non platinium i think .. i'll ask .. but they've been far better than the platiniums he;s had in it , less fowling and miss'ing

Hey man, 1) u should be able to use the 5 spd out of a VL .. and crossmember mount...its pretty much teh same gearbox as an RB20DET box .....dont quote me that .. just what i;ve heard. 2) yea go the VL pedal box. for ease of it anyways 3) Yes 4) Should be plenty. bare it mind you may still have get down to a Gauge expert and have a speedo box calibrated and fitted to suit your application. 5) i'm pretty sure the racks are the same ... but it should be fine anyways.. u might have to fiddle with the brackets for the pumps .. just keep an eye on the pulley ratio coz u dont wanna end up boiling your steering oil and killing the pump from the working its tits off. 6) Fuel pump should be alright. u wont need a surge tank for street use. 7) u should be able to hook up a thermo fan into the wiring on the rb20 donk .... something like a davies craig deal ..and fittings to suit. or a switch to turn it on when its copping some stick All the best. VK with a Rb20 det ...... interesting concept..... u should just go with a garret Strata kit for turbo power on a 6cyl .. unless u got a v8 one Matt
  17. i'm not trying to say that AVCRs are bad dude.. just at higher levels ie 1.2bar and above ... theres a tendency to spike .. on SOME applications ..... i'm still going to buy one regardless personally and i intend to run somewhere up to 1.2bar all going to plan.... plus it adds more bling to your interior lol HKS EVC are very good units too .. but u get what u pay for in that respect alot of tuners swear by Greedy Profec B .. the ole school black...
  18. ok .. well .. do it this way .. cross reference 2.20 (Pr equivilent to 20psi/1.35bar boost) on the left values straight line that all the way to the right side. now ..mark a straight line up from 23.5 (lbs/min at 3500 rpm) and then a second straight line up from 50.4 (lbs/min at 7500 rpm) roughly anyways. anything that is outside of the island map is worthless its either lag, or out of its effiency. just becoz it has .63 A/R on the exhaust side doesnt make it lag free.   19. or u can buy both..... depending on the car ..on my friends GTR he has both .. but consistantly has boost spikes with the AVCR ...doesnt worry him really but thats ona GTR
  20. at 20psi .. u'll still have lag ..so the turbo wont start to come in till about 4000rpm probably .. then u'll probably run out of chuff with this one at about 6000rpm not the best for any more boost over a bar on a rb25.... well thats what i reckon i could be wrong ..... i was thinking to buy a similar turbo for mine .....but its too big too much lag ....

  22. yea i have the same problem for now .. i'm just saving up for an ecu change .. i get 450 to about 60bucks of fuel ..out of an rb20 .. so ur doing alright
  23. friend of mine has an Apexi System .. the middle muffer can has been damaged from a tray truck but it can be removed if u want .. or as is u can replace it .... its off a N1 R33 GTR .. needs a good tub and spit shine but another than that is fine.. pretty sure its a N1 spec system i'll get some pics if your interested .. PM me looks like this .. but i'll get pics to confirm Its in Hoppers Crossing.
