  2. yea the dynos were ****d..alot of cars making far less than what they made some days b4 on other dynos ..some dynos that are least generous than that 4wd one of XTC ..and they were reving the piss out of some of the cars ..some shocking .....my m8 turnd he;s down to 1.2 ..although it spiked to 1.4 he made 257 ..but he's made 297 at 1.6 at technik last week...... R33GTR (NOTGTS) and the 180sx chaser car made 290 this week ..and only made 236 ....pretty shite Matt

  8. yea ash would be sweet to actually hear one "first ear" ..... as i'm still weighting up my options for turbo ..either t04e wastegated or internal... i really just dont know ..i know there loud .. as everyone has said ..... but i'm used to hearing 370ci plus sprintcars at 15feet away rifle around a 1/4 mile dirt track .. more noise doesnt hurt .. much ..unless u over 128db ..(aka threshold of pain) only concern is getting reamed by the jacks on a nite out somewhere minding my own burnouts .. i mean business.... ..but it happens as they say..   10. been thinkin about getting a screamer pipe ..for the hell of it ..and put it on while i get the intercooler fitted ...although what daunts me is what will be the results ......the cars fairly loud now ..does get a bit of attention as it is .... but i just wanna replace the standard dump pipe to some more "beefer" i've neva heard a screamer pipe on a car b4 ... well maybe ..i'm not sure what i'm listenin for are there any down falls to it .....any like things to be aware of ..ie the screamer pipe making any flames or somthing? but on the same token ..do u gain about the same power gains to a split setup? just not venting it to atmosphere .. anyone have either one ... anycar ..doesnt matter . just wanna see what ppl have found with em ...... and if one or the other is worth buying over the other ..... thanks for your time.   14. i work for healthforce .. food services assistant at the epworth private hospital ..doing meals and stuff like that .. boring as .. need to get into uni soon and get my enginneers degree finsihed.. no good having diploma's Matt

  16. yea thats teh ticket Roy..... i'm not out for bulk power output .. more so something with good low to top end pull .. and enjoyability ..with the car being an auto ..and 0 -100 around the 7.second area ..if i can take 2 seconds at the most off that i'd be laughing thats for sure. hopefully i'll work it out eventually

  19. i lookd at GT28R comp maps .. but it was more the other way around .. top end was off the end of the island ..but boost came on pretty early. i've pretty much dismissed the T04 S Trim for sure .. too much lag ..and its pretty old but on teh same note .. u mention a hybrid t04/t3 setup . .funny that coz i'm lookin at one t3 flange ..Super 57 Trim.. both graphd points fall inside the island .. but i'm not sure on its effiency at them points. or if it would work well enough. shuld be attached .. its rough .. no accurate obviously. anyways thanks agian

  21. i;m leaning towards something like a To4B S Trim .. Vtrim just too big for what i want ....gotta thank Roy for helping me out ..makes choosing a turbo a bit easier .. doing the math and all taht for a Strim .. its just outside the surge line by like 500rpm the way i figured it anyways....... that sort of lag can be tuned out with like bigger lift cams and adjustable cam gears? at 18psi i doesnt make useable boost till about 4000grand and just runs out of puff at 7500 ..at 3500 is were the math plotted me out to ..surge/lag country any reccommendations while were on the subject .......so for hijacking dude.   23. interesting discussion. few valid. but some more arguementative than fact. but "i give up" I'm still going to go thru with my swap. So bugger whats happend. can;t argue with results. Thanks for the posts SK . fair bit of a read . and all makes sence to me (for the most part) I look forward to seeing pics of your install and hopefully we'll see more guys busting out with GTR cams there after. Also SK : u mention one setup u had being converted to solid followers with GTR valve springs. I have a set to accompanying my cams on the way at a later date, is this a better way to go about it? i am i doing the right thing and doing that as well with my cam swap? Thanks again Matt
