Hey what's up.

I was just wondering if you guys could maybe post what you've done with your aftermarket gauges? There's always the A pilar pod's and center console area (which I'm using in my 240) and I'd like some ideas for my Skyline.

So if possible let me know and post up pic's too.

Thanks fella's.

Cheers B)

Personally i'm a big fan of those three gauge modules that sit center dash that you always see in dvds of cars in japan but i'm still to locate any here.

With the admission that I haven't even tried yet so if any one has some insight, it would be most appreciated!

Yeah that pic you posted is well.....a little to busy for my liking.

With those side pods on the dash, they raise them up and it's to bulky looking. I want to go with something cleaner.

I'm thinking of just using a couple on the dash in seperate pods, group the wires together and cover them with a plastic wire cover so everything is hidden. Simple I know but functional and estetically pleasing to the eye.

Hey nathn_r33 I just wondered, in your pick there's an oil pressure guage. Was it hard to hook up as in, did you replace the stock sending unit with the one that came with your gauge?

Keep the pic's coming guys if you can. I am still waiting for something to jump out at me that I may steal the idea. :P

if memory serves me correctly, we imported a pod with the 3 gauges to the left of the cluster from japan for a fibreglasser in melbourne. They did do some copies, but for the life of me I can't remember their name... I'll see if I can dig it up.

They look horn though, one of my mates has an original triple cluster pod in his R32 GTSt. They'd look so bling with a set of Defi's in em.

Yeah I did replace the sender. The only hard part was that some tool that had the car before me had bent the original sender so when I got it out it cross threaded the thread in the engine. I just replaced the original one drove to the closest work shop and got them to re tap the thread. Put the new one in and haven’t had any trouble since Other than that it couldn’t have been easier. • It is a kunfine Android screen . Does anyone know the wirering diagram of the fuga ??
    • just an update to this, poor man pays twice  Tried sanding down the pulleys but it didnt do the trick. Chucked another second hand alternator in the na car which I got for free off my mate and its fixed the squelling. Must have been unlucky with the bearings.    As for my turbo car, I managed to pick up a cwc rb alternator conversion bracket + LS alternator for 250 off marketplace, looked to be in really good nick. Installed it , started the car and its not charging the battery.... ( Im not good with auto elec stuff so im not sure if this was all I needed to do but I verified such by using a multimeter on the battery when the engine was running and I was only getting 12.2v )   I had to modify the earth strap for the new LS alternator , factory earth strap was a 10mm bolt which did not fit the bolt on the LS alternator which was double the size so I cut it off , went to repco bought some ring terminals that fit, crimped it onto the old earth strap and bolted it up to the alternator , started the car and same issue. Ran like shit and was reading 12.2 at the battery.  For a "plug and play" advertised kit thats not very plug and play but alas.  My question is , am I missing something ? Ive been reading that some people recommend upgrading the stock 80 amp alternator fuse to a 140 amp but I dont see how that would stop the alternator charging especially at idle not under load.  Regardless ive pulled it out and am going to get it bench tested by an auto elec tomorrow but it would be handy to know if ive missed something silly or have done something wrong.
    • My wild guess is that you have popped off an intake pipe....check all of the hoses between the turbo and the throttle for splits or loose clamps.
    • Awesome, thanks for sharing!
    • To provide more specific help, more information is needed. What Android screen? What is its wiring diagram? Does the car's wiring have power at any required BAT and ACC wires, and is the loom's earth good?
