No,its not that one,its one built by Mines, its featured in the current Autosalon mag.Nice car though.

I think the finest GTR in the universe could possibly be the Z Tune Nismo R34.

it is the car driven at Tsukuba or was it Nikko by Tsuchiya and Orido

i said the finest modded GTR

m&m you really need to read before comenting

Yeah picked up the mag today on my break and from the little small peices i read in the article it says its not, however it does have a COMPLETE Mines RB26 *drools*

But yeah i read it somewhere that it says its not actually the car, just rather something that is almost identical in mods and visually speaking (needs some BBS rims to top it off :P).

edit: Irrespective if it is or isn't the ACTUAL Mines 34 that thing is so hot!

edit edit: like i said its just from the little bits i read so don't quote me on this especially you DIRT ^_^ i may be wrong

Hey,lose the attitude buddy. It is NOT the car, clearly says that in the article, and I read fine.So a car modified by Mines is classed as modified, but a car bought second hand by Nismo and modified is not.Go figure.I thought altering a car from stock was modifying,no matter who it was done by.

You dont pick on my reading and I wont pick on your spelling of commenting :P

Oh yeah Autostlyes car are top notch no doubting that.....

Its fully built by Mines but it is not THE Mines R34 thats all i think is being said

cant believe all you read in Autosalon....we have been listed winning trophy's we didn't....in the same issue(current) Daniel Jitts' Supra has a twin turbo 1UZFE when it has a 2JZGTE (this is said more than once) our car had twin Trust fuel rails and a Autometer boost controller.lol [cabin] fools

so who knows if its the real McCoy.

think ill give Dom. a ring myself.

Just checked the web site.....

Can be yours for a cool $169,000

Here is a pic for those of you requesting it.

Also this is a quote from the page that has the car on it......

"This car has been built to above group A spec. Brand New MINES engine with less than 3000klm, Way to many extras to list. No expense spared. Over $250,000 has been spent in making this the ULTIMATE street and track car. If you deserve the best, you cannot go past this one. For more details give Joe at AUTOSTYLE Prestige & Performance Cars a call on 0404 461 993"

Quite a few differences between the cars, although I like the idea of Dom's car having a built bottom end.

Tsukuba car has stock air box,not ARC,BBS mags, not Enkei, white bonnet with small vent ,not black with large vent.Black cannards and lip on Tsukuba car,not on Doms.Rear brakes are stock on Tsukuba car,4 pot Alcons on Doms. These are just the obvious ones.

I think the biggest difference might be that the Tsukuba car is based on an N1,while Doms car is based on a V Spec 2,though not entirely sure on that one

    • Thanks for doing that Duncan! Makes you a good person in my books. We don't get kangaroos or wombats here. But we have bats and it's similar. AFAIK it's often the mums with a baby attached that get hit because they drop lower when starting from a tree. If you hit an animal, check on it. https://www.ifaw.org/au/resources/wildlife-rescue-app An app to get the closest wildlife rescue contact.
    • My dream is also to have a proper hoist, but I don't think it will ever happen. My quickjack is probably as close as I'll ever get, it really is very good though.
    • Yeah we keep on in the dailies, it is pretty poor how many animals get hit and the driver leaves without checking....have saved a couple of little ones over the years. Bit of a gruesome job though, pouches generally need to be cut open because they are so tight and often the joey doesn't realise mum is gone so they are still locked onto the teat. I checked the modules in front of the DS wheel where an oil cooler should go.... There is the radar unit - that can go for race use) One of the 2 HX water pumps, the silver cylinder. That needs to be kept but might be able to be relocated But the bad news, the big computer mounted vertically in front of the wheel (blocking any potential air exit) is the electric steering computer. That is required until/unless i do a hydraulic steering conversion, and in CAD based modern car design it is not like I can just pop a big unit like that somewhere else (plus the loom would be too short anywhere else too). So, the passenger side is OK to clear out (just use a smaller washer reservoir, potentially elsewhere), but the DS no beuno
    • Well, all the best with the new camry It was interesting to hear about the UK process, it is generally a lot more streamlined here with a shipping agent looking after all the import side (noting the exact final price can still be a surprise.....) and I've used a few different brokers on the japan (or US) side, and never had any trouble with any of them....luck of the draw I guess. You mentioned you didn't get the auction sheet (understandable since you bought it from a dealer, not auction), but I always try and get hold of that because they are pretty thorough. I've imported 2x R grade vehicles over the years and both were fine, repairs in Japan are pretty thorough compared to here in Oz.
    • BTW I measured the jack I have, it is 70mm at the saddle but you only have about 700 until it returns to 150mm high at the cylinder so it is good but no magic bullet.
