Rebels Car Club Dyno Shootout & Car Show

Beenleigh Tavern, Saturday the 11th of March 2006

If you were lucky enough to be at the Tavern last year, you will know this is one of the premium Dyno Days on offer in QLD. There are only 1 or 2 other Events that offer two Dynos, side by side, all day. But there is a lot more to this day then just a Dyno Shoot Out, The Rebels also run a Show and Shine at the tavern as well.

Here are a few Pics from last year’s event.....

Gates Open at 8am on the Saturday Morning with the Dyno Comp kicking off from 10am, with spectators welcome at $5 per head. For entry into the Dyno Comp you will be looking at $30 which will get you 2 Power Runs and a Dyno Print Out. For entry into the Show and Shine Comp, you will need to shell out $15, or for entry into both, the bargain price of $40 will cover it.

For more information about this event, please call Simon on 0400 986 790.

This year there will be no 'pre entrys', so all cars will have to be registered on the day, but be there early as there is a limit of 100 spots on the Dyno for the day.

What categorys will the dyno runs be split into, (eg best rwd, best awd, best wagon :))

Oh and is it a 4wd dyno?

Both Dyno's will be 2WD Only. But the categorys will be as follows, 4cyl Nat, 4cyl Turbo, 6cyl Nat, 6cyl Turbo, 8cyl Nat, 8cyl Turbo, and Open.

Cool, good breakdown too.

Unfortunatly there is no way of running stageas in rwd mode, so I'm out, but hope it goes well!

I dont know who told you that, we currently have a 4wd stagea in the workshop that we tune in-house, nothing difficult about it at all..... We are experts when it comes to Stagea's

    • Ha ha ha, that's fair mate! We have the crackhead dogs now. Mainly because the missus wants the crazy dogs while she still has the energy and capacity to be able to keep up with them! Ha ha our current two are both Working GSD, there brothers and sisters (from the same litters) are in Police, Corrective Services, and I believe one did end up in defence force too. They're wild and fun, yet right now, both curled up asleep on the lounge room floor while we watch some TV. Mal is very likely the next dog (unless I get my couch potato guardian dog 😛 )   What are your Kitties names? Are you planning some house work, like those high kitty shelves, built in scratching post, and some cat passages from one room to another room?
    • Maine Coone, did look at but to big and fluffy As for performance dogs, we had Mals at work, performance dogs are fun to watch, but, way to much work for this old rooster
    • Yep, it was only an option on the Q50 Hybrid.  Same in Japan as far as I know. And doesn't use a centre diff like the Suby's do, so not the same as the WRX.  But it also isn't a reactive AWD like other Nissan AWD vehicles are, eg. Murano/Xtrail/etc.
    • You should have got a Maine Coone then. Only thing is they're big. But so cool, and just like a dog. Or, just get yourself a high performance dog. That'll teach you for wanting Parkour indoors 😛
    • Are you thinking of Bens R32? I don't remember if his went through the bonnet itself, but it went through the chassis rail. Brad (RISKIN) bought it, and turned it into a track car. It's funny how anti people are of Jim Berry now. I remember when I pulled mine out (during an engine change) and inspected it and found it cracking badly. At that point in time so many people were even on SAU, were so pro Jim Berry, and that was after Bens GTR exploded his quite publically.
