I posted in this thread for two reasons.

One, to ask what went on.

Two, to highlight Adrian's incredible efforts.

It's guys like you that bury any intelligent debate. Well done !

See you around.

El Bee

this coming from someone that told me i was being coy by not telling anyone what my turbo is... now there is an irrelevant comment to the argument going on!!!

and as for your comment on not knowing the categories.. how could you not!! it was right there.. against your name... 'stock 33 gtst'.. you can't get any more obvious than that!! I'm actually disappointed that you just sat back and thought.. yeah mad!! you didn't think to tell adam that you were so obviously in the wrong catergory!!!

Don't get me wrong, i'm not trying to stir u up anymore, just wondering what u think the alternatives were?? Leave u as leader with non-stock turbo (as they were classifying it anyway)???

I know that in the other categories high flow was considered non-stock so its not like u were disciminated against

Not at all.

If that was the rule, no problem.

It just irks me that my Wife was so excited to have her "name up in lights" so to speak and then find the thing wiped and, I repeat, nobody has said anything to us about it.

El Bee

you were the intelligent wun that decided to talk about my post count.

so who were u debating with? i see a lot of confused faces.. a lot of posts trying to make sense of what you're on about and what you want out of all this complaining...

fine ur wifes name got wiped off the bored for some reason, but ur complainwhoring on this thread will not acheive anything.

just wait for adam's reply.

do you blame them? im not talking on behalf of anyone but look at it from their point of view.... they found out your turbo was hi-flowed and rubbed your name out, its not their responsibility to run after you if your name was rubbed out. it would've happened to the next guy so just get over it.

ohh. .nice point joe!! i know adam was having problems finding people for their runs, let alone running after people to tell them something has changed! why didn't you just ask him on the day when you noticed?

Hahaha. Well done.

By the way. Do you know the answer yet ?

El Bee:

Not everybody has the time to check SAU for PM's everyday, so please be patient with that one.

You are complaining. Dont call it anything else. I have no problem with complaints as they ensure the next event can be improved.

If you think the management was so bad, its easy. You organise an event of this size by yourself.

I apologise you were in the wrong catagory, eventhough you did not mention your "stock" turbo had actually been modified, thus being in the "aftermarket" section, you honestly can not say its fair to enter a modified turbo in a stock section of the day.

If that were the case, then ill go and rebuild and highflow my turbos - then enter the stock catagory, do you think the result will be fair for everybody else running ceramic turbo wheels that for safety sake are restricted to 15psi?

Please also remember this is a PUBLIC forum and you are a NSW member. Dont make us all look bad. If you have a problem with another member please PM them and wait for a reply.

Oh, and be rest assured. At the next Dyno Day you are in AFTERMARKET.

You apologise that we were in the wrong category.

I didn't see anywhere on the form regarding stock or not.

I do await a reply to my PM.

Over and out.

You said you were looking at the white board? As in the white board with STOCK next to your name?

Come on, stop wasting time with this, you had a modified turbo in the stock catagory. Its that easy, and you were wiped for that reason.

    • Welcome to Skyline ownership. Yes, it is entirely possible parts websites get things wrong. There's a whole world of inaccuracies out there when it comes to R34 stuff (and probably 33 and 32). Lots of things that are 'just bolt on, entirely interchangable' aren't. Even between S1 and S2 R34's. Yes they have a GTT item supposedly being 296mm. This is incorrect. I would call whoever you got them from and return them and let them know the GTT actually uses 310mm rotors. Depending on where you got them from your experience and success will obviously vary.
    • Hi...a bit a "development" on the brakes. I spoke to the guys where i get brakes from...and they are saying that 296mm EBC are for R34 GT-T. I then went to their site: https://www.ebcbrakes.com/vehicle/uk-row/NISSAN/Skyline (R34)/ and search for my car(R34 GT 1998 - it has GTT brakes) and it show me this USR1229 number and they are rly 296mm rotors... So now iam rly confused... The rotors i have now on the car are 310mm asi shown... So where is the problem? Does the whole EBC got it wrong or my calipers are just...idk know what?
    • Oh What the hell, I used to get a "are you sure you want to reply, this thread is XX months old" message. Maybe a software update remove that. My bad.
    • This is a recipe for disaster* Note: Disaster is relative. The thing that often gets lost in threads like this is what is considered acceptable poke and compromise between what one person considers 'good' looks and what someone else does. The quoted specs would sit absurdly outside the guards with the spacers mentioned and need  REALLY thin tyres and a LOT of camber AND rolling the guards to fit. Some people love this. Some people consider this a ruined car. One thing is for certain though, rolling the guards is pretty much mandatory for any 'good' fitment (of either variety). It is often the difference between any fitment remotely close to the guards. "Not to mention the rears were like a mm from hitting the coilovers." I have a question though - This spec is VERY close to what I was planning to buy relative to the inboard suspension - I have an offset measuring tool on the way to confirm it. When you say "like a mm" do you mean literally 1mm? Or 2mm? Cause that's enough clearance for me in the rear :p I actually found the more limiting factor ISNT the coilover but the actual suspension arms. Did you take a look at how close those were?
    • @GTSBoy yeah sorry i know thery are known for colors bud those DBA are too in colors 🙂 Green will be good enough for me
