:D If I was you I'd change to a genuine one aswell the fibreglass ones don't fit as nice :P

Couldn't have said it better myself. Now...where is morgs...a run with the two of us could be great to watch.

Forget morgs, a few of us are racing on the 14th of April why don't you come and show me how superior your GTR is

haha...my OEM plastic one fits my genuine GTR just fine. But, if I were to fit it to a GTST, it wouldn't fit quite as well because it would stick out too far on either side for the skinny rear guards. :P

I may come down on the 14th, not out to prove anything...unless you choose to run on real street tyres, with real street fuel, a cat and a quiet exhaust? Maybe you can run a manual too...or have you forgotten how to change gears??

Seriously though, will be great to see you run again, so may come down either way.

if anyone is after an accurate power figure they are best to go to WSID and go by MPH or put their engine on an engine dyno... a chassis dyno is really only a tuning tool which has way to many variables that can affect the readout.... just losely strapping a car has yealded an extra 30rwkw, changing wheels has made near the same so i wouldnt be to stressed by differing read outs

A great day none the less and was great to catch up with quite a few people. Cant wait for the next event :P

So how do i tell how much my line is putting out? i did a 14.1 at 97mph. before i tell you how much i got on the dyno see if you can get near it.

Not sure...never bothered reading the thing...but it is a street meet and I have a street car...are you driving yours there?:P

You and your old man sure seem to be friggin' experts on drag racing for a pair that have "...never bothered reading the thing". :D

Or has he read it and you take what he says as gospel? :D

Adrian

It was a great day thanks Adam and everyone else :D It was the first time i've had my car on the dyno which i was planning to do and run it at WSID to see what she runs. Now that i've done that and have my base figures i'm gonna start playing with it. Mona watch out cause i'm coming to the 12's with you then the fun begins. Mik i love your car! Awesome display of rb power!!!

Lizjane sorry i beat you but i think it's great to have girls like you, Mona And Elbee111 in the club and into their cars as much as us mear males.

Met some more of you great people and hope some more days like saturday comes up to meet more of you :P

Which book are we talking about not reading?

Thanks for the pics E Lu-Shun !!

Adam, do I contact you to pick up the turbosmart oil cap? :P

The book of 101 excuses for GTR drivers

Here's the top 5

1. My clutch is slipping

2. My gearbox will break

3. My transfer case is slipping

4. My car weighs to much

5. I still have stock airbox

etc etc

:D :D :D

Mik, you need to buy the book - real, REAL bad!

Adrian

Nah...I've never bought a book in my life...no time to start now.

Oh...and I'm no drag racing expert. Sure, I've had a few runs, but it's only for the fun of it and to see what the car can do.

If I was into drag racing, I would not have a turbo manual 4wd full weight street car. I would build a lightened rwd N/A auto with drag slicks. Drag racing is all about consistency, and that's the best way to get it.

maybe Bu5ter should write a book entitled "101 setps to making your GTS look like a GTR" :P

"You'll need to run 11's, low 11's to qualify today"

Sounds pretty experienced to me. What was the bump-spot that day? 12.67 if I recall correctly.

People that talk it up that much AREN'T only in it for the fun of it. They're there to show-boat and enter their own private dick-swinging contest. Just so you know, the most consistent vehicles in drag racing are manuals.

:P

    • Haha, i kow right? Could have bought so many cars for the same amount of money (or less) but driving Unicorn gives you at least +1mln to style 😅. Like wise man said "life's to short to drink cheap wine and drive boring cars" 😉
    • Newbie here, proud owner of an Autech 260RS. I'm on the hunt for wiring diagrams specific to the 260RS, particularly S1. I've ran my eyes through R33, R34 Diagrams, there are some similarities, however continue to find incorrect wire colours and pins on connectors in the 33,34 diagrams.   I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction? I'd be happy to pay for the originals in Japanese. I can translate them, at least they would be accurate.   Any help please would be greatly appreciated, never heard an RB26DETT before let alone driven one, and I've got a spaghetti monster of goodness to sort out.   Cheers Benny
    • Hey all  im wondering if you can help me please I have put a rb20 box in my r34 gtt as my auto packed up and a friend had a spare box I know it’s not ideal but it will get me up and running for now. we have done the conversation and everything is working great but my Speedo we got a s13 speed sensor but my Speedo reads double now and I bought a speed converter but still not having any luck.  so I thought I’ll reach out and pick your brains  any help would be appreciated please as I wanna drive my car again
    • Drain it. I got official Matic D but you can get whatever is listed as Matic D compatible.
    • Thanks guys,  Yeah I should at least have them dynoed, at least then I know what I've got as a starting point.  The springs on these are hard as rocks. I vaguely remember Russman saying he was going to sell the shocks to me with the rocks fitted, as he was keeping the softer springs for his new setup.  I didn't click at the time but of course that was to let me know the shock/spring wouldn't be matched.  I also remember pricing up new springs around 2014-15, but, house, money etc. it never happened. So that was another reason to have them rebuilt. I have rebuilt the forks on many motorcycles so I think I could handle the seals on these easily enough, but getting the valving right would be a rabbit hole I cbf exploring.  Duncan, interesting to hear RP was tuning these back then. I might give them a call.  In the mean time I have been busy fitting sway bars. The Whiteline rear sway bar I purchased 15 years ago finally got fitted, along with the Whiteline front bar that showed up last week. Just waiting on new links for the front sway bar to finish that off.  And my spare set of advan AVS VS5's should be back from the powder coaters in a Pearl White finish sometime this week, with a set of Hankook RS4's lined up for fitting.  And then I just have all the suspension bushes to do. A comprehensive kit is on the way... Lots to do before the Ararat hill climb. Cheers guys 🍻
