I am organising with Noltec atm to start a group buy of products for items they have available for Skylines. Items will be straight out of their catalogue for the R30 to R34 skyline

For specific details see here :

http://www.noltecsuspension.com/files/cata...20Catalogue.pdf

(pages 141 to 143 for Skyline components)

I havent received any info on pricing as yet, but the more people the better the group buy will be. I may look at becoming a distributor later if the group buy goes well....

What i need to know from people is what other items (from the catalogue) would you be interested in getting discounts on for you car?

Please look at their catalouge and see what you need, and let me know and i'll see about pricing asap.

Thanks.

Definitely interested in the N82557 kit (adjustable castor bushes, R32 GT-R).

Also, might be interested in the following for the R30:

N44021 - Adjustable Strut Top

N51627 - Lower Control Arm inner bushes

N11217 - Steering Coupling

N11406 - Steering Idler bush

Ok guys ive got some pricing here (except the r30 stuff)

It seems they are prepared to offer their stuff at 20% off on 1 off items, or 40% off on 5 orders minimum.

Some items are expensive, while others are cheaper....

They basically have their own RRP which you take the discounts off.

Examples -

N32840 - Shock Absorber - Upper - Front bush kit ( 4 piece ).

RRP on this is $77.97

-20% = $62.38

-40% = $46.78 (5 orders needed)

N82557 kit (adjustable castor bushes, R32 GT-R).RRP on this is $301.72

-20% = $241.38

-40% = $181.03 (5 orders needed)

PN N52088 Upper control arm assembly (camber adj.)

RRP on this is $691.43

-20% = $553.14

-40% = $414.86 (5 orders needed)

Rear subframe bushes N2447 (incl crush tubes)

RRP on this is $266.20

-20% = $212

-40% = $159.72(5 orders needed)

These are only a rough guide, and prices may come down. As an example the subframe bushes i was quoted $206 for a 1 off item ($6 cheaper) than going by their catalogue.

Let me know what u think of the prices, as i havent added anything to it, im just doing this to help others out. It seems a group buy may be necessary to get the pricing down to where we may all like it.

No worries guys, like i said i can get it cheaper but we need a few orders, so talk to everyone u know who may need some stuff.

im doing this to help us all out - no adding extra $$ for myself.

Check out the catalogue and let me know what else u may want.

Subframe mount N92446 - 1 Incl. crush tubes (R33)

R32 and R34 are the same, but R33 uses a different part number for some reason, however the pricing is the same as the r32/34 item.

R33 item is the same as s13-s15 and 300zx Z32

I am looking at doing this group buy very soon (will put a link in my sig) and it will be open for about a month or so to get numbers and payments etc organised.

Count me in for the complete rear subframe mount

Sure no probs. Im holding off till we get a few people who all want the same items.

If someone orders something though, and i dont think im gunna get any more orders, i'll just put it straight through and they can get the 20% off. Would be nice to get the 40% on all items, but some items are more expensive than others, and not everyone wants the same things.

Might speed things up for those who want the items straight away too i spose, instead of waiting till i get 5 ...otherwise id just put say a 3 or 4 (?) week wait, after starting the group buy, before i put an order in on a spcific item.

It might help if people let me know too when they need the items, as they order. It'll be good to know with when to put the orders in etc...

Interested in..

1x Sway bar - link F 8 -- N21169

1x Sway bar - mount 20mm 2 -- N21063

Thats if the link kit would suit R32 GTS-T front? .. it says 8 bushes.. does that mean it would be enough for front and rear?

Timeframe would be 3-4 weeks (no rush).

ok, Predator - as for your first question about N32840 - whats the shock absorber upper. Andrew from Noltec confirmed that "N32840 is a shock absorber bush not a strut mount"

1x Sway bar - link F 8 -- N21169

RRP is $24.49

20% - $19.60

It would be for both gtr/gtst and it says for the rear only (dont know how many bushes are in the rear?) 8 bushes per kit, and only 1 kit required per vehicle. if you would like, i can confirm as well about this before ordering.

1x Sway bar - mount 20mm 2 -- N21063

Funny enough its not on my parts price list, i'll have to get back to you on that one, but the same part for the r33 is about $22 (~$17.60 with 20% off)

I also now have prices for R30 skylines :D

N44021 - Adjustable Strut Top - Need to confirm on ordering

N51627 - Lower Control Arm inner bushes - RRP $58.43 ($46.75 with 20% off)

N11217 - Steering Coupling - RRP $54.27 ($43.45 with 20% off)

N11406 - Steering Idler bush - RRP $16.97 ($13.60 with 20% off)

    • Had I known the diff between R32 and R33 suspension I would have R33 suspension. That ship has sailed so I'm doing my best to replicate a drop spindle without spending $4k on a Billet one.
    • OEM suspension starts to bind as soon as the car gets away from stock height. I locked in the caster and camber before cutting off the kingpin. I then let the upright down in a natural (unbound) state before re-attaching it. Now it moves freely in bump and droop relative to the new ride height. My plan is to add GKTech arms before the car is finished so I can dial camber and caster further. It will be fine. This isn't rocket science. Caster looks good, camber is good, upper arm doesn't cause crazy gain and it is now closer to the stock angle and bump steer checks out. Send it.
    • Pay careful attention to the kinematics of that upper arm. The bloody things don't work properly even on a normal stock height R32. Nissan really screwed the pooch on that one. The fixes have included changing the hole locations on the bracket to change the angle of the inner pivot (which was fairly successful but usually makes it impossible to install or remove the arm without unbolting the bracket from the tower, which sucks) and various swivelling upper arm designs. ALL the swivelling upper arm designs that look like a capital I (with serifs) suck. All of them. Some of them are in fact terribly unsafe. Even the best one of them (the old UAS design) shat itself in short order on my car. The only upper arm that works as advertised and is pretty safe is the GKTech one. But it is high maintenance on a street car. I'm guessing that a 600HP car as (stupidly, IMO) low as you are going is not going to be a regular driver. So the maintenance issues on suspension parts are probably not going to be a problem. But you really must make sure that however your fairly drastically modded suspension ends up, that the upper arms swing through an arc that wants to keep the inner and outer bolts parallel. If the outer end travels through an arc that makes that end's bolt want to skew away from parallel with the inner bolt, you will build up enormous binding and compressing forces in the bushes, chew them out and hate life. The suspension compliance can actually be dominated by the bush binding, not the spring rate! It may be the case that even something like the GKTech arm won't work if your suspension kinematics become too weird, courtesy of all the cut and shut going on. Although you at least say there's no binding now, so maybe you're OK. Seeing as you're in the build phase, you could consider using R33/4 type upper arms (either that actual arm, OEM or aftermarket) or any similar wishbone designed to suit your available space, so alleviate the silliness of the R32 design. Then you can locate your inner pivots to provide the correct kinematics (camber gain on compression, etc).
    • The frontend wouldn't go low enough because the coilover was max low and the upper control arm would collapse into itself and potentially bottom out in the strut tower. I made a brace and cut off the kingpin and then moved the upright down 1.25" and welded. i still have to finish but this gives an idea. Now I can have a normal 3.25" of shock travel and things aren't binding. I'm also dropping the lower arm and tie rod 1.25".
    • Motor and body mockup. Wheel fitment and ride height not set. Last pic shows front ride height after modifying the front uprights to make a 1.25" drop spindle.
