Recommended Turbo Installer In Melbourne

Recommended Posts

I've got a 2535 waiting to go in. Got the elbow and oil return pipe, basically almost complete except for gaskets, which are cheap/easy to make. This is a direct bolt on with T3 flange so shouldn't be too much dramas.

In terms of worksmanship, I wanted an installation that is neat and keeping everything looking nice & tidy under there with heat shield everything still in place to prevent under bonnet heat issues.

Keeping that criteria in mind, who would you personally recommend to do the installation in Melbourne metro?

Hey Rianto...long time no hear buddy :D

I'd recomm. ATP....kyp can be a handful sometimes but he knows his stuff and does a lot of work for other well known workshops.

Just mention you know me when you call or drop by....

oh and you can use the search func. to find his contact no and other recommendations from SAU people :(

Hey Ant... yeah long time no see, you weren't at the BBQ last weekend? Busy with the new baby must be... :-)

Where is this ATP, I couldn't see it in the sticky list of Victorian workshop.

Actually bigger change than that....got relocated to WA (perth) for the next 12 months so your going to have to step up and make a few track days :(

ATP (Advanced turbo performance) is on Dandenong rd near Chaddie shopping centre. Just look them up in the white pages or do a search in the vic section for ATP....I've posted their details before a couple of times.....

I would give em to you now but don't have them on hand :(

RE Customs did a TOP job installing my new HKS turbo. They have the knowledge and experience to back it up.. can also do dyno tuning :(

Havent done anymore trackdays, 100,000km service coming soon and I wanna make sure everything is healthy before bringing it to anywhere above that 5000rpm+ zone again ;-)

just out of curiosity where is high end racing locate? i.e. street etc...

thanks.

I;m checking out what other alternative workshops out there and if their workmanship is comparable to the high quality of what i'm gonna use... I'm way too fussy for any kind of cowboy jobs.

get a gasket kit and do it yourself, seriosly, its like 4 bolts, a few pipes and oil fitting, if you dont have a dump, it will be fun driving it to a zorst shop

you will save like $1500 and make sure that you know exactly whats done

youll probly need to take the manifold off too and replace allthe studs but thats not that hard

    • I can see between the water jacket and cyl 3 there wasn't a hard line of combustion gas. It certainly appears that the issue is coming from there. Yes, checked the tension. All at 100ft lbs where I set them 5 years ago. These blocks can crack but generally when they have been over bored. Mine is only 0.5mm oversize at 89.5mm. They break between cylinders around the 91mm mark. No sign of that with mine. My gut feeling is the head gasket lifted a while back when the studs stretched and i bandaided it by retorquing the studs. It's finally let go.
    • My Nismo 1.5 churps a bit on reverse turns when cold, but besides that feels like a stock diff.
    • Yes, but, I paid cash and I'm pretty sure the receipt was in the bin 10 minutes after I got home Note to self, keep all receipts
    • Bunnings would have just handed you your money back on that one!
    • So, version 4 intake is on its way I was looking at these a while ago but at around $200 or more it was a little pricey for something that might not work, but, I had it in my watch list, but, I got a message saying it was on special, and I had a code thingie to use, it eventually came in at $120 delivered, so BAM, BUY NOW.....LOL I'll need to have a look when it arrives but I feel it will "look" better than what I currently have, as it comes with a PCV fitting, so I will be able to get rid of the alloy pipe that goes to the throttle body with the PCV fitting  Well, that's what the voices in my head are telling me  Oh, and this happened today Yeap, it was a Trojan, and it was cheap, so I headed back to the hardware store and actually spent a little bit more on a heavy duty,  one that was actually recommended by a plumber mate, a Cyclone one with a fibreglass handle that is actually rated for clay The broken shovel will eventually be "modified" into a short handle shovel
