good work mate dont worry about all these jeleous bitches on here, most likely there car is a r33 gts-t with a fat hybrid cooler and 10psi, woohoo, they are just shitty cause they are soo poor they cant afford a decent engine setup :D:P

shibby u are a knob mate and give him a f**kin break he sounds genuine to me and im sure if he promotes a workshop he aint gonna dribble shit on the net about some car that doesnt exist :D

his initial comments in this thread were pretty childish and abit of "bragging" but he seems to have matured and now has contributed nuthin but good info and i pitty on you shibby for acting like a 5 year old jeleous bitch cause u will never have half of what he has :)

thats my 2c anyway, im sick of the internet keyboard bitching its what stopped me ever posting info about my jun stroker engine and the like because people always gotta have a dig and pick shit like they are god.

good luck mate with the new setup and prove these morons wrong :P

they are well respected and alot of people use them for the right reasons i started off on the wrong foot but have learned to hold remarks in

thats it mate, post up the good bits....... & generally its *best* to leave the shite out (yes, Ive learned that too!)..... 1200hp in a street car is just plain NUTS tho :glare:

Thank you both for supporting me

and yeah ill put it in the street car if i sell my package now

if not ill have to use it in the full chassis skyline im currently building

prob wont be going for a while now

but anyways

ill be back at the track with either engine package

and post as i go if i continue with the standard motor in this thread

or with the other motor in another thread and same for the race package

currently still using the standard motor but still am waiting for the converter to come in as that is the only thing im waiitng on to drive it on the road and at the track

once again thanks

Unless your removing the 25 and installing 510cube v8 how long do you expect a small capacity engine to last with that sort of power? hope you hav heaps of cash for rebuilds....

lol

The japanese technology behind this motor is incredable

i havent seen any standard V8 in my life withstand 400 + dyno runs and 6 months worth of work at the strip or track making this power

they are old skool technology and were never built for racing (apart from the JAPANESE lexus V8)

the Custom blocks ETC are race items and never come out standard while with the Rb motors we build they are with standard blocks & heads.

i have built many big v8 cars and have seen what they can do and how long they last and the only good thing about them is the Torque

The RB motors Fuel Economy,Reliability & Technology is way better and Designed for Everyday Street use with Pump Fuel.

About my motor lasting dont really care they cost $1500 for a bare motor standard or cost around $11000 for a motor to Withstand 900 HP

While the 510cu will cost $20000 +++++ for an engine to do the same thing

What i was getting at was reliabilty... 510cu making 900 may last for 5years but a 25or26 making 1238 may last one track meeting or one dyno event. which is why i said hope you hav heaps of cash for freshen up's or total rebuilds when something lets go 1238hp in total... lets find out hey.....

GTR 700 done over 60 dyno passes or so and 30 passes down the quarter mile

making 1500 hp reving to 13,000Rpm and running 3 bar of boost

when they stripped it down found nothing wrong,This is what happens when the engine package is done right

The engine is a 2.8L stroker that i purchased from a Engine Builder in japan.Reason why i purchased it instead of Building it is it because its cheaper.

if i do use this engine in a street car i dont think i will ever drive it on the road as too many costings but this is why i am building my chassis car as a race only item

And yeah we can say just have to wait and see

Tomei have a 2.8 ltr kit for RB25DET, uses a custom forged GTR full counter balanced crank. is about 620,000 Yen.

I was considering an RB25/30 conversion but that crank has really got me considering the tomei kit instead.

gtr700 is that car up and running again? i thought it was turning out 1350hp not 1500... 1500 must be the new number.... not sure if you follow the gtr.uk site but i dont think its been quite that easy.. i wonder what 1238hp in total size turbocharger will lag too? something like 8000-8500 going to be interesting tho....

Once again... you're work with this motor continues to impress me.

My friends that are only into 1jz's had to pick up their jaws off the ground when a stock internal rb25 ran a 10 sec pass with a full bodied r33 and a manual gearbox. :ermm:

Whats more impressive is the attitude you've adopted. After copping all this abuse and critisism from people that are just being critical for the sake of it, i'm moreso impressed by the way you've refused to let these people get under your skin.

Keep up the good work, relish the compliments, take on board the constructive advice (from people that actually know what they're talking about), and ignore the bench racers that spend 30hrs a week playing keyboard commando...

Keep up the good work.

Thank you

i will post as i go

im pretty sure that my father and i will continue on with the standard motor for a while if i dont sell the package.

As for GTR 700 it made 1350 at the Wheels

around 1500 Engine HP

I have read most of this thread and all i have to say is well done!

Its a good feeling to prove everyone wrong when all they have done is doubt you.

I cant believe that rb25 is still going. I hope my rb30det can make 400rwhp in stock form and be reliable!!! if that rb25 can do then mine can get close to it im sure :D

Keep up the good work.

  • 3 weeks later...

Ive just read this entire thread. Very impressive figures. More impressive is MR331307s restrained attitude to the grief he has been given.

I bought an R33 GTST not long back and am about to fit a Greddy T78, Nismo pump, Nismo 740 injectors, Tomei cams etc but with a stock bottom end. I am still unsure about what power to run on standard pistons and rods but this thread has given me a lot of encouragement.

Excellent feedback and info and well done on the results

I have seen some internally stock motors do some serious numbers down the track...

My old motor ran a 12.9@124mph on 18psi and that was a totally dead stock SR20DET from the wreckers...I think with a decent launch it would have trapped in the 126-128mph ball park...

I also have a contact in the states who has run a 10.4@138mph on a dead stock SR20DET bottom end - just a head gasket and some head work which is just insane for a standard bottom end!

    • Seat of the pants assessment of the new intake: The car is way less "doughy" when hitting the loud pedal, especially off idle when stopped or in traffic, I did use a cheapo lazer thermal thingo to measure the temp around where the pod filter got its air, it was between 55 - 60°C, in saying this the car was shut off and not moving, so the OEM intake pipe was not supplying any fresh air to where the pod was when the car was at least moving A weird bonus was induction noise on the throttle in the cabin increased a bit,  I was worried that I was actually going to lose some of that induction noise I love so much, outside though, when I got the daughter to do a WOT drive by pass for me, the induction noise has increased alot when on the throttle, not quite ITB doort, but well up there I'm extremely happy with the results and have been exploring the country roads in the region  As for house mods: 1.New front fence is up and is awesome, it really upgraded how the joint looks from the street, and the added security is nice 2. Electricians have replace some interior lights, and with more lighting in the garage, a few new motion detecting lights out the front above the garage, front room, and at the front door, which I have already found heaps helpful coming and going, also now has fancy pants CCTV all round the house The only hold point for power though is the solar and batteries due to supply issues, although this will happen over the next few weeks 3. I have done a heap of landscaping out the front and I'm almost ready to do a new small retaining wall with some nice blocks to replace the brick and cemented in rocks around the raised garden beds cemented in river stone "was the fashion at the time" the house was built. I currently have a pallet of retaining wall blocks and 2 bulka bags of 20mm blue metal to replace the wood chip that is in the raised garden beds around the house 4. I now have 3 big raised garden beds for out the back to grow some vegetables, about 70cm high, 200cm long and 100cm wide 5. My 2 compost bins are already pretty full with brown, green and kitchen waste from the landscaping I'vedone so far, but they will probably take a few months to break down, so anything else that gets chopped, trimmed, and kitchen waste will just start filling the base of the raised garden beds to about 30cm before I start throwing 40cm of good compost, and stuff, for the vegetables to grow in, I'll need a few ton of compost and soil, but the local supplier can sent me bulka bags of the stuff Basically the logs, wood chips and a few strategically placed rocks for drainage, will give the beds some good organic materials down low to break down over time, and they will hold moisture during the warmer months to save the water in my big arse water tank if we don't get alot of rain So, all in all, the car and house mods are going well, and I'm really enjoying being retired, I sleep in too 0700 and slowly plod around inside until I feel like actually doing anything, and only work in the yard for as long as want, which has actually been alot over the last few weeks,  although when you look at it, it seems that not a huge amount of work has been done,  until I look at the before I started the work pics Happy days and good times indeed
    • hahaha yeah. Plan is to get side skirts and probably just rear pods. But going to do them one-by-one. I've got a set that I really like from RHDJapen, but that one isn't shipped to AU. So need to find someone who can get it for me
    • Here's an idea, answer the questions I asked you as they are trying to work out WHY the LSD will be binding up in a straight line.
    • You haven't driven many modern cars then have you? Most of them have sfa steering feel with their stupid electric bullshit steering systems.
