ahahahahaha. Nice one Toulia.

I just wanted to give direct thanks to bob, dan, neil, duncan and fatz!

Thank you for making this day so very memorible!!!!

Thanks goes to eveyone else and the rotory club for making it happen!!!!

First thought this morning when i woke up... *says to girflriend* babe can we go to oran park today?

I cant wait for the next meet at the next track! Lets hope i still have a car at that time! (i dont want to sell her now, i want to modify it more.)

For having stock Suspension and not many power mods i was happy with my three times:

- 1.38min

- 1.33min

- 1.30min

I will start another thread for track times, for all tracks and could one of the modz sticky it under the 1/4 mile times which silver-gtst started.

Fantastic pics mate,,,,your a legend. Remind me to book you next time the cars on the track.

Beautiful work

Neil.

Yeah, it was a good day, I was a little pissed with the wasted time and the 10 cars on the track rule, but one of the RENEWS guys came up at the end and said it was mainly due to the new CAMS officials pushing them around.

1.22 Im happy thats, it my fastest lap time. We can now get ready for the next AArom Mcgill day in 4 weeks, I will post it up Monday morning. Did anyone get any shoots of me on 3 wheels into turn 1?

The cams people were very strict overall, which in some cases was a good thing

the 10 car on the track rule was ok, until the marshall stuffed up and sent 11 out in your group, then when you changed tyres/checked pressure (it looked low ion the front from my spot at turn 11) she told the marshall to hold you until the next group, still, from how she sounded on the radios i though she was going to make you wait for your next group session and that you would be out for at least 20 mins while the others had their go's

Your car looks great out there - unlike your ass at the drivers briefing. (i was standing next to duncan)

If the McGill day is the same curcuit - im in!!!

Also, any requests from - http://www.itexcellence.com.au/sau/default.html

please email anthony (at) itexcellence.com.au

He is also more than happy to do personally shoots for your car just drop him an email!

Mate i think you'll find your quickest lap was 1.33, check natsoft for fastest times. I didn't see anyone running a 1.30, Your quickest was 1.33, sorry to disappoint you. :

Well it was good to be out at another trackday, especially the full circuit at OP which is extremely rare however if this CAM's day was run any slower I would have gone home 10yrs younger.

Having only 10 cars on a full GP circuit is extremely lame even more so when their was more than half the track not even being used because most drivers were bunching up. Having a 40min drivers briefing is pointless and starting the first session at 10:30 is a waste of atleast 1.5hrs of track time (every trackday ive been to the briefings have been at 8am and racing starts at 9am) and did I mention that 1980's BMW's suck ass despite what some people may think?

On the other hand their were some very quick rotors out there, 1 in particular had the main straight flaggys ducking for cover everytime he drove past as it backfired going into turn 1 :D

Was good to see some new faces at the track both on and off the circuit. It just shows that their is still plenty of interest for private days just the costs and availability are still a problem.

Great day.. great day. My first time spectating at a track day too. I tell ya, I'm now itching to get onto the track. So much so I think I have a rash :worship:

Anyway here are a few of my shots. They're a bit soft. Wish I had a bigger lens...

From both Amanda and I thanks to Benm and Oz for their support during the day. And thanks to Abobob for organising such a great day! (AGAIN!!)

For someone that's basically only gotten her licence to drive, and only been driving a manual for 7months I reckon Amanda did bloody brilliantly! :)

ahh, now i know who dragged the dirt onto the track... lol

i had just assumed it was pete.

Well done to all involved in getting this day together.

Top time Adam, man you got those 4 doors around there quick. :D

Weather was much kinder than the last track day.

Spewing that I had work commitments, would have been

fun to have another boat out there chasing the Liners. LOL :worship:

and the flame thrower

As Shaun may not see this pic - ill just add for anybody wondering, Yes - it did burn/warp the back bar, and yes i have photos od the bar after a trip to the carwash, i will upload them at work tommorrow :worship:

After one full lap (to get exhaust temp up), it flamed out on every change of gear and everytime he got off the gas approaching a braking zone

Not really helping fuel economy :D

And i bet if she tried the BMW owner could do a 1min50sec :worship:

    • The car/ECU will have all the sensor that it needs and expect to have. I think i do not have to explain to you how the Link is way better specialy if you have swapped engine   I just do not want to deal with any "problems" cuz i have only Nistune which i learned is not that great and in my case cant even deal with that speed problem (Link can) And of course it will be way more easier to tune and diagnose and safe. And for the ECU/speed problem...i dont know.
    • Per Mark Roberts of Sonictune: Mark Robert Author At this time, no. No ETA either 2016-17 models. You will be able to purchase and install a 2018.5+ TCU though   TCU purchasing and pricing info! As we near the release of TCU tuning, I am going to answer some questions I get asked often.   What do I need for TCU tuning? At this time, you will need a 2018.5+ TCU to be able to tune. If you have a 2016-to early 2018, you will need to replace your TCU with the newer version. One good way to know if your TCU is good is if you have auto upshift in manual mode in 1st gear around 6500 rpms. If your manual 1st gear goes to 7k rpm and will hit the rev limiter unless you shift, you have the older TCU.   Why do I need to buy another ecu license/phone flash if I already have it on my ECU tune? The TCU is its own computer module. It is completely separate from the ECU. Because of this, you will be required to purchase a TCU license and, if your tuner has it, the phone flash license required to tune it via phone/bluetooth.   Do I need TCU tuning? TCU tuning is NOT required. However, the faster your setup, the more it will assist in track and dragy time consistency.   If I’m ECU tuned by (tuner A) can I get my TCU tuned by (Tuner ? Yes, since it’s a different module and a completely separate flash, you can have two different tuners. However, it is highly recommend that you have both tuned by the same tuner. For me, my TCU tuning will directly complement my ECU tuning style and features and running my ECU and another TCU or vice versa MIGHT cause some issues. At this time and for the foreseeable future, I will only be tuning my current ECU tuned customers TCUs.     I have a SYVECS AWD controller. Do I still need it? Yes! The AWD controllers main job is to control your AWD system. However, with TCU tuning, you will no longer need the auto-shift function as that will be done through the TCU. The AWD controller will still be very beneficial for racers looking to maximize traction on the launch.     Shift schedule changes: holding gears longer at lower pedal input as well as max shift rpm changes. Please note, the new ECU race rom coming out will address 90% of the shitty drivability issues these cars have through custom maps from myself and Racebox—as well as others I am sure.   Increase shift speeds: as seen in the videos I’ve been posting, the TCU shifts much faster once tuned.   Increased shift pressures: as also seen in the videos, much firmer full throttle shifts.

    • The fancy pants red shock tower brace is finally incoming from MX5 Mania, getting it shipped from 'Merica has been a long and problematic process, and GWR, the 'Merican supplier will not ship directly to consumers outside of the US, Mania basically had to order a heap of them, the colour choice was silver, or red, and we all know anything red adds 5 killerwasps of dynotorques..... Whilst it does fit over a 2.5, and I've seen a few photos and videos of it being installed and fitting, google also says it might get real close to the FAB9 intake front runner, people in the US says it does fit with the FAB9 intake, except for one person who said it slightly touched.......so there is that.....LOL..... As it seems that I am the first in AU to have this combination of parts there's no local knowledge about fitment, so I'm just a willing guinea pig in this endeavour, I'll cross my fingers and toes and hope for the best In other news, I ordered stuff from China  on the same day I ordered the 23° silicone bend from Victoria, the stuff from China arrived a day ago, the 23° silicone bend is still travelling around Australia thanks to Australia Post, and "may" be here next week
    • Very good news...I contacted Racebox about it last night. My car is a 2016 so remains to be seen if it is compatible, requires a TCU swap, or is impossible.
