Monsta Perfmormance Intercoolers

I am looking at buying a MonstA INTERCOOLER KIT GT SPEC DETLA FIN INTERCOOLER 80x300x800mm for my R33 GTST. What I was wondering is if anyone has installed one in their car or has used one at some stage.

Never tried one but they seem to be the normal "hybrid copy" chinese intercooler.

I can get one new for $499 (Kit I mean) is this a good price in your opinion? or would it be better getting the Hybrid "genuine" Kit for $750?

I have said it before and I will say it again, this "genuine Hybrid" thing is bullshit.

Hybrid are the same design coolers as the rest of the well priced bar and plate coolers available from companies like Just Jap, however they have a "hybrid" plate welded to the top - that is all.

That said, Just Jap has the Deltafin intercoolers, which are a similar core design to the Apexi GT spec intercoolers, for $199 - cheaper than Monsta

I have done many searches and what I am trying to find out is, is a full 3" intercooler setup (piping, inlet and outlet) going to be better then a 2.5" intercooler setup. I am getting a full 3" exhaust system installed in 2 weeks and I am looking to install the Intercooler at the same time. I will eventually looking to get around 260rwKW (300max) and will one of the type 1 JustJap intercooler kits be good enough? or would it be better going Apexi ect..

As far as I am aware the Genuine Hybrid kits are manufactured and designed(patented) by HDI (hybrid development International).

They have their own manufacturing processes, testing and QA, and also warranty support.

The piping kits, Hose joiners and Hose clamps are also of very high quality compared to cheaper generic kits.

I also deal with a company from China who make generic coolers and kits and they claim to have their own manufacturing processes.

The quality is also good but the difference between the two kits is very obvious.

I just hope it isn't the same people as the ones behind "Monstabishi Performance" or "Monsta Racing" that had a performance shop in Sydney a few years ago.
