Once Again Another Cruise Well Done.

Thanks To All The People That Turned Up And My Thanks Should Mainly Go Out To The R31 Contingent That Showed Up.

Once Again Everyone's Car's Were A Nice Treat To See And Hear.

Seems Most Of The Group Get Split Up :D but i Guess The Main Thing Was That Everyone Got Some Part Of The Cruise Thru The Mountains.

Well Another Success.....

Regards,

Ashley Neal

oh and btw: to the people in the White R33 with the smashed rear end who were following me and my dad...

were sorry about missing the turn off for the mountain :D we dident know you were following us up the mountian untill we got to those set of lights :( were so so sorry :) if we knew before hand we would have told you we missed it too and that we were heading home :)

but other than that... the night rocked :)

thanks everyone for being so friendly & kind to me and my dad because i dident know if we would be accepted or not... :D

byes all :)

was a good night overall.

on the way back to the city from mudgerabah was an experience, with hundreds of cars racing on the M1 and every second one coming alongside me and trying to race.

sorry to the r31 and the r32 gtr that ended up following me the wrong way twice, next time i'd better read the directions

sorry to the people who got left behind, slip and mr-e were the only ones who were directly behind me, but i thought we had more with us when we got to the hinze dam turnoff, guess i was wrong. Was a great run through the mountains. good to see so many people turn out including a pair of gtrs :D

yerp, was definatly one of the most enjoyable cruises ive been on in a long time, the 180 held its own in the hills too i was told.

i got to murwilimbah road and slip was behind me, i was like "where the f*** is everyone?" then we saw a heap of lights comin round the bend which we thought was the rest of yas, so we took off again

but i think slips idea about stopping on each major turn is a pretty good idea, that or go though the day before and paint arrows on the road :D still was awesome fun climing the moutain and pushing a guy in a commodore to his limit, i think i want my suspension to be stiffened up now :(

oh, did anyone else have any probs with wildlife?

i almost took out a possum in the upper sections of tamborine, i wasnt too enthused about the idea of cleaning it outta my front bar so i slowed a bit for it, stupid thing wouldnt make up its mind to stay or go....

damn animals

i reckon we musta woke a few people up goin through last night, its not like a pack of skylines are quiet.... on the highway when there was the 3 33s and the 31s heading up to roma st, the drone was almost deafening... :D

nice to meet you too neo, dont worry bout havin a stock zaust, the r34 looks bloody sweet as it is :(

Yeah good cruise guys, next time I will gather everyone around and implement a system used in trail riding, where at every turn, you wait for the person behind you before turning off, that way, noone can ever be left behind.

Who was in the R31 that was behind me and belgarion when we were chasing the commodore up tambourine???

I managed to keep up with an r33 up to the top of mt tamborine, but coming back down, before the mt hinze turn off it was a bit too quick for me (more so my gf..) sorry to the turbo r33 behind me for that bit but the old school suspension isnt made for crazy 140kph turns :(

sounds like it was a good crooz, i'm spewing i missed it... i was at a mates bucks night, had a awesome time in the city.

private shows at minx involving 2 lovely ladies and a spar bath was quite entertaining :(

didn't get home till 5:30am!

    • ok so if i wanted to go 18's i would go for 8's  in front 30+ or 32+ off set at front and the back 9 would be ok? what offset should i aim for.. then can i do some  hunting for wheel rim choices..    If i get this - will this fit all around: Size: 18 x 8.5 +37 - n what tyres size tyre should i get for front n back?
    • Absolute f*cking nightmare. I had to take breaks constantly, and I was always pissed off when I got home. The line split in Italy on day 2 (we drove from the Netherlands), lol. Driving any narrow European town was... well, sh*t.   Appreciate it man. Here, I'll just drop a favourite from the load I took on Saturday.   I'll update here when things happen with the car, the thing is, with stock power and almost everything chassis-wise taken care of, there really are no problems. 268,000kms now and counting.
    • Ah! I actually managed to snag a lightly used set.... that aren't so suitable for me right now. They don't work on a GTT without some cutting or creative heat moulding. I thought about reselling them myself cause I didn't want to murder them, but it looks like I'm probably going to attempt to murder them/melt them because I may as well. @GTSBoy @PranK can somebody close this thread?
    • Hey mate,  I have a set, one is slightly damaged but wont be noticable once installed.  Shoot me a message if your still after them
    • I couldn't wait But, the black constant tension hose clamps were too thick and there wasn't enough clearance at the T/B and I couldn't get it to seat properly, so I had use a silver one there I also added some 3" silicone over the alloy bit that goes through to hole on the radiator support as it looked like it was sitting on the edge of the hole in the radiator support, I never noticed a rattle or anything, but there was a witness mark It is basicly done, and I can live with the silver hose clamp at the T/B, I will get a black clamp for the head vent though where it is attached to the bulkhead fitting  It never stops...LOL, only issue now with the shock tower brace is it slightly touches the under bonnet liner now, if I leave it it will either wear some paint off the brace where it touches, or damage the liner, so I removed the liner to see what I have to work with, with the liner removed I have about 20mm of clearance, but sadly the middle part of the underside of the bonnet is only dusted with paint and looks crap, so I cannot have that, but.... as I have a roll of Carbuilders premium under bonnet insulation in the garage laying around that is only 5.5mm thick (we were going to use it on the boys Patrol, but he crashed the front of it a few months and it was written off, hence why he now drives my old Honda Accord Euro), I'll use the OEM liner as a template and get the Carbuilders stuff fitted up to cover that dusted paint up
