haha nah thats cool al

yeah picked up some cool slimline LED one that glues to the rear windscreen for $20 at rice'o'barn seemed to do the trick

better then those ugly box ones that come standard on 1987 corollas haha which are $30

i was going to get round to it sooner rather then later anyhow as i was paranoid that someone target driving behind me would not notice my tail lights glow birghter as i pressed the brake pedal and run up the back of me :s

so its a good idea to have the 3rd centred brake light

........

thanks heaps for your offers guys Paul and Al are lending me the stuff i need to clear my epa (hopefully), but if they fall through, i'll let you know if i require your help, once again... very pleased with the help and support that is offered on this forum... has alot more to show for itself then most other forums and car clubs

cheers

-Mark

lol @ english

Mark, if you need anything just let me know, chances are I won't be able to offer much, but I'm happy to help either way

john that sentence was whacked. my main concern with a 33 is the damn fuel consumption! i cant get over it! so much worse than the 180! i really need another job soon. glad to hear u got the stuff u need, and another line also.

Ruffles mate, why dont u just swap or lease the car out to someone u trust, or even ur parents, that way when ur 21 u can drive it again, i know that is what i'd do.

I also got EPA'd last week, i know how u feel, u always say to urself "it will never happen to me." then it does. U know my friend drove his skyline round for 3 yrs on his P's, got pulled ova many times but neva got dicked for pwr/wt. If i was u just get the car registered under ur Dads name so that u can keep it... and mayb drive it if ur a good boy... or not.

All the best mate,

P.S. A lend of a stock exhaust (33gtst) is also needed my way to clear up the EPA notice, if ne1 wants to lend a hand to a fellow skyliner

aghh i just read that again and i ment police presence, it was written late at night. But yes there are too many tossers around eltham now and due to this fact there are an ever increase presence of police in the area and also due to other activties now happening in the area.

So true, Eltham is starting to become hoon central unfortunatly... Eltham maccas is now almost like bell st. maccas.. according to mark it will be 24hours soon.. so that will only make things worse... and yeah ridiculous amounts of tossers around this area now.. *sigh*

I'll check at driftline if the stock catback has been returned... someone's always using it to clear epa's.

can't we just leave one with the epa? i'm sure they've caught on to the fact that every second car has the same exhaust on that they'd looked at the day before.

its closed all week and reopens on monday, trust me i know it delayed my car a week and half, bloody roshan and getting married :P

No probs, got till next month to fix it, plus i wouldnt be able to do it this weekend. But yea keep me posted and thanx again

    • I just changed the timing belt on my RB25DET NEO and wanted to get some opinions. I’ve been super cautious, did a lot of research, and took my time. I’ve driven the car, and it runs fine. After warming it up, I revved it to 8000 RPM a few times—no issues, everything held up.   After the drive, I heard a noise that I think is either the clutch or possibly a tight accessory belt. It’s not constant, just comes and goes.   I took the timing cover off to double-check everything:   Belt is on properly, Tensioner is tight, Did the 90-degree twist test—belt isn’t too tight or too loose.     What still worries me is that I noticed the belt seems to sit a little toward the front edge of the gears, especially on the idler pulley. It even looks like it’s slightly coming off the edge there. Is that normal?   My old belt (5 years old, ~3,000 miles) also showed a bit of wear on that same edge, so maybe it’s just how it sits? I’m probably overthinking this, but since it’s my first time doing this on a NEO and the engine is forged, I really don’t want to mess anything up.   Also, I’m thinking of swapping to a clear front timing cover with the glass window. Would you recommend NITO or HPI? HPI looks reputable and their covers have 2.5mm thickness, but not sure if there’s a real difference between the two.   Any advice or reassurance would be much appreciated!
    • 40 grit sounds about right, to start. You make some decent cuts/damage in the coating with that, then rapdily scale up to maybe 80 and 120 for the bulk of the actual removal, then fine it off to 180 or 240 perhaps. No need to go any finer than that, and maybe no need to go even as fine as that. Wrap it on a big block and have at it. At least on the hub face.
    • Do the GKTech rear lower control arm mount relocation, and either alloy subframe inserts or very stiff subframe bushes. Traction is going to be at a premium!
    • Hello,   My name if Frederick, i'm 30 years old and I live in Belgium, Europe! I used to have a Nissan 370z daily but since I got a company car I turned that into my seattime driftcar. About 3 years ago I also wanted something older with more feel, so I got an R32 GTST with an rb26 engine. I am now getting the rb built to have around 800hp and it's close to being finished. I'm very excited for how it will drive and how driveable it will be! Regards, Fred!
    • Appreciate the insight! Talked to some local folks and they basically told me "it's not that deep." As long as the threading on the inside matches what's at the steering rack, everything else can be constructed-to-fit. There are full aftermarket kits I can use - probably better for my car overall since it's lowered.  Example: GKTech M14 Super Adjustable Inner Tie Rod Set - Nissan Skyline R32 R33 R33, 240SX, 300ZX, 350Z / Infiniti G35 M14I-TROD-2 gktM145-TROD gktM14I-TROD - Concept Z Performance (These can be packaged with their "high misalignment" tie rod ends).
