Hey im looking into gettin a front mount for my 32 in the near future and i would like to know what you recommend....also where is the best (quality for money) place to get it fitted. My budget is fair for a uni student / part time at woolies so i dont want anything too ridiculous in price.

Cheers for your help in advance.

yep, I have the Just Jap Hybrid copy kit on my R34. Bloody good value for $499, and basically the cheapest price around. Only have a go at fitting it yourself if you are very handy with tools and some metal fabrication (like Duc  ).

I would hate to think what a workshop would have to charge to fit it though - took Duc and I around 10 hours to do mine :P

the just jap hybrid (i think) kit is the best bang for your bucks. cooler does its job and the piping is quite light. any workshop would be able to fit this basic modification for you, i dont know how much they would charge though. maybe try fitting it yourself? as an aussie would say, give it a go. you have nothing to lose.

yep, as Joel said, you have to cut it - but not to pieces.

You really need to 'shave' some off the inside of the bar to refit it.

Not a dramatically hard job to do, but a pain nonetheless (and you get molten globs of plastic on you if you use an angle grinder - OUCH!)

    • haha don't worry I'm sue you've got more fun ahead buying a 30 year old turbo car....but at least you are in the right place to ask
    • some days eh? The keyless entry and interior light on/off with the key will be controlled by the Body Control Module, but I'm not certain where that is or what it looks like (you might get lucky with a search to get a part#, which could be printed on it). I'd start at the A pillar/ Under dash/kick panel on the driver's side
    • It might be hit and miss, but Nissan Genuine Parts and Pitworks are not the same thing, although both are available from Nissan Dealers with Nissan Part Numbers. Nissan Genuine Parts are the OEM stuff, Pitworks are their attempt to get people back from generic parts makers
    • I did end up getting it sorted, as GTSBoy said, there was a corroded connection and wire that needed to be replaced. I ended up taking out the light assembly, giving everything a good clean and re-soldered the old joints, and it came out good.
    • Wow, thanks for your help guys 🙏. I really appreciate it. Thanks @Rezz, if i fail finding any new or used, full or partial set of original Stage carpets i will come back to you for sure 😉 Explenation is right there, i just missed it 🤦‍♂️. Thanks for pointing out. @soviet_merlin in the meantime, I received a reply from nengun, and i quote: "Thanks for your message and interest in Nengun. KG4900 is for the full set of floor mats, while KG4911 is only the Driver's Floor Mat. FR, RH means Front Right Hand Side. All the Full Set options are now discontinued. However, the Driver's Floor Mat options are still available according to the latest information available to us. We do not know what the differences would be, but if you only want the one mat, we can certainly see what we can find out for you". Interesting. It seems they still have some "new old stock" that Duncan mentioned 🤔. I wonder if they can provide any photos......And i also just realized that amayama have G4900 sets. I'm tempted too.
