jen-
Hello fellow Linesky owners Im ready for my compliance work, but I was wondering if anyone had pics of their compliance work. I'm mainly after pics of - Intrusion bars in the doors - Child restraints - Location of engine number on car - Fuel filler But i guess anything else will still be extremely helpful. Btw, is it normal for a car to have low oil pressure on its first drive (since japan) ? Thanks heaps in advanced! neil_se
I'd be very grateful for any of the same info as well. I'm currently doing self compliance on my GTR and the seatbelts and intrusion bars are easy enough (buying doors that already have bars) but positioning of the restraints and techniques to fit the fuel filler neck would be great. Beer Baron
my advice with the filler restrictor is just take it some where. they will only charge around 20-30 bux and they have a special tool to do it. they just insert the retrictor (with some sealant) then hook the tool up to a compressor and it pushes it in, then flares it out so it locks in place. saves you the trouble. funkymonkey
I guess you're talking about 15 year old compliance. Installed the fuel restrictor in my car the other day using the tool... farken cool idea. It expands after its inserted so it dosen't come out. Child restraints are fairly straight forward. I wouldn't do the side intrusion bars yourself, most engineers will insist on installing them themselves or not issue you with the cert. neil_se
What sort of shop is likely to have the tool for the fuel filler neck? There's no compliance shops up my way. funkymonkey
Any workshop that converts cars from leaded to unleaded fuel systems (maybe even gas/fuel conversion shops).
