Driving With A Cast On Left Foot

As I've announced already, I've torn my achiles tendon and had an operation on it. I've got a cast on my left foot and I haven't been driving cause I don't want no trouble with the boys in blue. But I was just wondering if I'm allowed to drive with a cast. It's only my left foot so driving an auto isn't an issue.

if its auto I dont think there would be a problem with it..

but then again it is NSW police.. so might wanna call rta or local cop shop

manual - illegal. (plus it would be uncomfortable and may hurt)

auto - ok.

i broke my foot almost 2 years ago at work - they had to supply me with an auto ute to get around.

i spent the last 3 and a half months of my second pregnancy in plaster after our car accident.

i drove the whole time i was in plaster

of course it helped that the car was auto.

my doctor didn't have a problem with it, so i'm guessing it wasn't illegal..

I drove for 3 months with a cast on my right leg, manual as well.. No issues at all..

I guess the question is, when a police officer pulls you over and see's you have a cast on your leg, will they chuck a hissy-fit about it or leave it alone?

i was told by my OH&S officer as well as the employers insurance company that if I drive a maual - all insurances would be void.
