I just got an auto R33 GTS-T II, pretty much stock accept it growls a bit as there some mods to the exhaust or muffler... not too sure.

Anyway Ive read that manual GTS-Ts do 6.2 sec to 100 km/h. Given that autos do have a slightly bigger lag, is it safe to say that an auto will do around 6.6 to a 100 km/h?

PS I know its a 10 yo car and they dont go as hard as something thats about 4-5 yo but nevertheless.

im pretty sure the auto will do a better 0-100 time. auto's will lag but you can start at a higher rev (rev and brake till you start to spin) and still have full traction, that will give you a better take off than any manual out there. for me its at around 3000 and it isnt till past the 100 mark that a manual will beat me.

why do you think most top drag cars are quick shift? :D

I too always felt that most autos take off quicker.

So whats the best way to launch an auto? Power button on and rev past 5000 rpm on each gear?

haha dont we all. you will get shit it being n auto n all... but really, there isnt that much difference power wise and stuff so meh.

only problem i have atm is my turbz is dying lol. :) needs me a new one. sif live without boostage.

Yeah my mate just got turbo Mr2 and giving me bit of shit cos hes is manual mine is auto... i drive when its peak hour traffic (Melbourne is peak hour traffic non stop). So its great just put your foot down and it flies! ALso no need to worry about clutches or leg cramps and the fact that Im 6'4 does it make it much easier not to have to move your feet ever 2 seconds... lay down, kick back :)

hey dude is there melb cruises coming for SAU? Id love to attend one!

if you want to be attending events etc, might want to look into signing up as a vic member.

$70 initial sign up and $50 every 12 months after that to renew...the forms are in the vic section somewhere....they do a lot of members only cruises etc so being a member has its benefits...discounts at certain places also :)

    • Agreed, and in particular the earth strap that should go from the subframe to the chassis but it often broken or left off. There is a section in the R32 workshop manual you can follow for troubleshooting if you don't see anything suspicious, and depending where you are (there is no location on your user profile) you should be able to get your hands on a second hand replacement unit still if needed
    • Yeah they mention as a R34 for 2.5 Turbo...but then again thos "small" were also for R34 by that different site. But i look into it and that 310mm EBC is for R34 GTT. And by those you linked the specs are the same 🙂    EDIT: I found these on one site here: DBA 4000 series T3 DBA42304S They are 310mm...and it says are for R34GTT...are there good? EDIT2: ok they have pads too.  What "color" should i get for street use? I dont want/need some noisy ones...(and if they are not that dusty that is good too)
    • Yeah, shame. Maybe  driver's carpet is available 🙏. I am waiting for both amayama and nangun to confirm.
    • Probably. I take it that they are also mentioned to be for R34 Skyline? For example.... RDA has that part as RDA7957. I have the dimpled and slotted version of that on my car https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/285518478694?srsltid=AfmBOopKxMuAFpsxZJdB1cam4D5RAj1f9yJyOttPZLAwXVNCOiwlhrIy This is DBA's top one piece equivalent https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/364246686631?srsltid=AfmBOorbb0XHQgqTvZLgQPhg70nqJtGvdojKnugum3O2LFSr2h-obp8D
