I don't agree with you saying that it's easy to make a slow car go quick and harder to make a fast car go fast. I understand what your trying to get across about reaching the limits of the car,.

Yeh so you know what im trying to say and it in no way was meant to take away from your time...:worship:

And yeh Sandown is a drag strip... you try driving my car and keeping up with any of you guys punching out 250+rwkws ...i know your pain all too well...you have to really concentrate on braking and corner speed.

I suppose my point was in light of other ppl doing great lap times i fear they may have been selling Jacks achievement short. It was his first day at Sandown, and thinking back its about 3 seconds quicker then a number of similarily modified GTRs on their first few outings...thats all.

....and anyway, since when did you ever read or listen to a single thing i have to say:)

Matt - Thanks man, your car looked awesome out there, from behind at least! :P Trying to keep up with you and Ray may be bad for my health... for now...

Jack - I'm hoping to get another second out of it with the same power, and I think I might have been able to do it if I hadn't have grabbed 5th instead of 3rd on every lap in my last session... woops haha

Everyone should be really happy with their times, and it was great to see everyones cars hold up, and no major incidents.

Thanks for the support everyone, made me feel really comfortable on my first track day, especially since I was a bees dlck away from losing my lunch before the first practice session! Was a really great experience, I've never had so much fun in my life than being out there, can't wait till the next one!

oh, and Ray, what kind of rear wing is on your car??

I agree mate. We all have to keep in mind that these days are meant to be fun and we shouldn't put pressure on people to punch out times. Sandown is a track that has claimed many Skylines, and i'm glad we didn't see that this time around. I must admit I feel more pressure at sandown, as people seem to use this as a benchmark and all the big cars come out to play.

I don't agree with you saying that it's easy to make a slow car go quick and harder to make a fast car go fast. I understand what your trying to get across about reaching the limits of the car, but at a track like sandown there is a lot of straight bits, and all these guys are pulling away from me fairly convincingly on the straight. At the risk of sounding stuck up, I had to work mega hard on my braking and corner speed to get a comparable time. I think without the oil on the track in the afternoon a 1.21.9 is possable.

You wanna try it on standard suspension.

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
