Just looking @ the mods n stuff i reckon that one is worth around 30-32k .. 39k is a bit overboard .. However, looking @ pics it looks very clean.. Also, ull find caryards overprice their cars quite abit.. After all they are their to make money?

These are figures spouted repeatly around the net. The "400 only" sounds like it may be confused with the N1 release.

In total 40,390 standard BNR32 GT-Rs were produced, with only 6% of production dedicated to V-spec issue-

• 1,453 V-Spec

• 1,303 V-Spec II

In later models such as the R33 series, ‘V SPEC’ models were in such demand that ‘V Spec’ production increased to over 40% of total series production.

R32 GT-R numbers in Australia have certainly increased with private imports over the past 10 years to become almost quite common on Australian roads. Yet a ‘V Spec’ R32 is still a very rare find, (even in Japan).

Being just 6% of production makes it "exclusive". Of course you can modify a base R32 GT-R to handle as good or better than a V Spec, yet it dosen't make it a V Spec. The market today still supports this theroy, hence the higher price they command. Highly modified cars have a low return on additional investment (that's the nature of cars).

At the end of the day, it just depends on your purpose / intention for GT-R ownership.

V-Spec Factory Features over a standard GT-R

•17 inch Aluminium BBS mesh rims with 225/50 tyres

•Brembo brakes (four-piston) with ventilated 324mm discs up front and two-piston 300mm discs in the rear

•Firmer suspension setup (bilsten shocks)

•Electronically revised all-wheel-drive system (ATTESSA-PRO)

The ONLY difference between the V Spec and the V Spec II in a R32 is that;.

* V-spec II actually had slightly wider tyres at 245/45

* The V-spec II had a boot decal

Other stuff?

* Boot lip (under the wing) often seen in pictures,... yet mine dosn't appear to ever had one

* Also mine has no rear window wiper

Maybe optional from factory?

Vspecs all came with rear wipers, don't think it was optional. The ATTESSA-PRO is much quicker and is a good feature.

I've got a 93 Vspec and on the shocks it says GTR and looks like the standar GTR shocks. Are you sure the 32s came with bilstein shocks? i know the 33 has stiffer suspensions.

I think a clear Vspec will fetch higher prices but not 10K more than a standard in similar condition. 3-4K is a reasonable premium to pay.

I have dealt with Fuji Motorsports before and I have personally seen that car up close and think its a very clean and tidy car and worth every cent. I would try and get it at least 3-4K cheaper though. It has many mods and the HKS Turbos which are a real bonus.

All I can say is mine has no rear wiper/ no rear wiper controls (maybe I'm sitting on a N1!....I wish!... I have factory air etc) Picture attached.

Also attached is a picture of promo ad with a R32 Vpec....looks like it may have no wiper on that one either!

Athough, disregard the bilsten shocks comment, I thought it was as I seem to recall that is what I have (on a pretty unmodified car) I can't seem to find anything support the tie with bilsten shocks / Vspec on the net anyway.

WTF, 3-4k wouldn't come anywhere near the replacement value with larger rotors, Brembo package, genuine BBS rims, Pull type clutch setup, ATTESSA-PRO, and the firmer suspension setup.

I doubt any V Spec owners would separate from the above factory package components for a mere 3-4k. If any would, pls PM me, I've been chasing some spare V Spec rims for years!

I'm unsure about the offset but the VSpec BBS rims are a match for the 99-03 Liberty B4 rims.

FWIW

Yep have actually noticed that before....would be worth a check with the offset. Anyone know a Brisbane owner of a 99-03 Liberty with B4's that would entertain an offset comparsion?

    • Have a vb in honour of the car comming back
    • It was a great, but typical track day, and some VB was ingested at the night time debrief 🤪
    • And so, to round this out, I couldn't be happier to confirm @MBS206 has decided to buy the car. He drove down from sunny QLD with a trailer last week and it is off to its new home today. I'll let Matt confirm on next steps but I understand broadly that the plan is to leave it pretty much as is, and just get some quality wheel time with a nicely balanced car that is pretty much track ready. There are a few a jobs still to be done first but nothing too major and I think its a very smart buy Dinner last night at the Paragon with a round of VBs (mostly) for Neil
    • Well, 50 pages and the end of a chapter for this car. We took it out for a shakedown at Wakie yesterday, and everything went well. There were a couple of niggles: - Oil cooler fitting leak - tightened, cleaned, stopped leaking - Radiator cap overflow fitting was leaking....Mark called it, the overflow fitting was threaded in and not tight....tightened, tested and held pressure - Small oil leak at the rear of the block, probably the turbo oil feed - too hot to get at it comfortably but probably just needs to be nipped up - leak at the driver's side rear brake line where it meets the hardline. Fitting wasn't loose, so Matt backed it off and back on, no further leaks - there's also a leak somewhere on the top of the fuel tank, maybe that cross over fuel line - that was has been left to fix when its on a hoist Otherwise than those niggles the car went great, turned great and stopped great so it was a very successful day out. I'm always really nervous when a car first hits the track after a long break, especially with a brand new engine as well but it was great. VID-20251011-WA0007.mp4  Big thanks to @The Bogan who dropped by and helped out, @MBS206 and my nephew Lachlan the apprentice.  Neil's wife Mel also surprised the hell out of all of us by dropping by; she's up in Tamworth these days but was travelling to Melbourne so had plausible deniability for turning up at the garage, it was great to see her but also obviously a bit sad all round.
