permits dont mean sh*t in my opinion......

traffic cops need to make targets, if they want to sticker you, they will.

As for getting permits, a non atmo venting bov could be permitted, an alloy wing could be presumably it would have to be within certain width/length, front mount cooler needs to be behind bumper. if it is then u dont need a permit for it at all. exhaust needs to be under 91db and have more that 100mm clearance. not sure on body kits, window tint needs to be 35 grade or lighter, and vertical doors, by which i think you mean gull wing style? they would need to be engineered id say?!

yeh at end of the day its all comes down to the mood of the guy pulling you over, they can still sticker you. The permit might or might not affect their decision. perhaps the permit makes it easier to get the yellow off? no need to convert everything to stock?

I have permits for atmo BOV, catch can, strut brace, suspension, pod, gauges, intercooler and piping

Didnt think it was possible to get permit for exhaust and ECU, maybe I'll give it a go next time.

(dam hks super dragger  )

thanks kenny :P

drive normal and have the right attitude and u will have no need for permits...

if you get a yellow, take it on the chin, such is life and theres no point having a cry over it (even if it wasnt fair)

begin rant

I couldnt agree with you more Michael.

I'm not inferring anyone in this discussion does, but if you wear your ball cap contrary to manufacturers instructions (Y0), have the doof set to 11 and your chair in shuttle take-off position then you just make yourself a target. Drive like a citizen, pick your moment to impress the seat cover an maintain a low profile :fakenopic: Think carefully about the mods you want and how it\you will be percieved, when you invite attention, that's what you get.

Having said this, sometimes just owning a car and being a young person will be enough.

Life is unfair and yes, THEY :nyaanyaa: often dont know what THEY are looking at.

Rant end

    • Yes the gear for the R33/34 is different, it is red and has a different number of teeth. My part didn't come with that gear though, so I don't know how many teeth are on the red one. You'd have to reuse the 260RS/R33 gear, as long as it's not destroyed.   Haha, as unfortunate as that might be it was working fine for about the first 1500km I've had the car for now.
    • Update all   thanks to the workshop manual, it lead me back to checking fuses as mentioned central locking and door open lights worked when acc was switched on. diagram attached shows two points of power 1. ACC and 2.  Batt with the later being fused (#28) I did check the fuses using a multimeter but I must have stuffed that up also. Went back and checked the batt fuse in interior fuse box and you wouldn’t believe it… a blown fuse. replaced fuse and everything is now working as it should including the climate control   thank you all with your positive insight and knowledge.

    • Duncan is correct. Pitwork (and Toyota's own cheap brand "Drive Joy") were primarily created as brands to sell other manufacturers car parts. It would be weird if Nissan sold parts for Toyota vehicles with a Nissan logo on it, so they created Pitwork to sell parts for other brans Toyota, Honda etc. They are not the same as Nissan genuine parts, although they *do* meet Nissan's standards for replacement parts. They aren't supposed to be a substitute for genuine parts, but a cheaper alternative that is better than Ebay fake parts from you-know-where.
