new GOR posted in events.

Don't think there are any long vid's though.

And i'm pretty sure nark was the only one with Video... Phat 32 had a flatt battery (lost of use that was) LOL

should make better use of them... good vid's could come outta some of those spots (specially through the otways top with the fog)

very fun i might add :D

but following that mobile dunny truck for a while sucked!

and seeing the flames come out the zorst was cool. :)

Poyz: Yeah :) Was fun.

Seeing the 32 GTR in my mirrors was pretty cool - we scared a few other cars which caused much amusement.

Being passed by 2 GTRs like you are going backwards must be great for the brown pants industry.

inark: Don't mean to be a code-cop, but the reason your images aren't working is your slashes go the wrong way. Windows (DOS) likes '' but HTTP likes '/' so they don't work on my Mac.

Can you fix? Would like to see the photos :)

oooh your gonna cop it now! :)

all speeds were adhered to. even the ones on the GOR which said 100 followed by a few sharp turns :D

James: My brother told me Ula was driving like a pansy throughout most of it.

Could have something to do with the fact he once had to get his car towed home from Lorne. He can fill you in when he reads this post and abuses me over the phone.

Lucky for him my brother and I had our cars to go on an interesting drive on the way back home in the dark. Those corners come plenty fast in the dark, esp when they're blind!

:goddam: :goddam:

Coming out of the carpark i looked away for 5 sec. and lost the whole group. Phat32 was behind me and he didn't see where you all went. We cruised up and down the town, then decided that you could be anywhere, so i headed home. I saw Phat32 do a u turn, but he gave no signal, so i thought he was going to try his luck.

Anyway, that last photo shoot looks mad, i'm really pissed i missed it :Pissed: !

BUT my drive home was really exciting and intense at the same time. Not being held back by my inferiour (sp?) cousins, the R33 GTR's, (:bahaha: :)) i was able to unlesh all 205+rwkw on the helpless GOR. Nothing like overtaking 2 cars at 150 then braking to take the corner with the ass end feeling a little loose. One brief millisecond of OOH 5h1t!, but with a slight correction of steering the HICAS did it's job.

All in all thanks to everyone for making it a GREAT day!!! Nothing better than Nice cars, excellant company and alot of twisty roads. Next time i will swap digits with a few people to make sure i don't loose my way and miss out on a great photo shoot. We should do this again VERY soon! Keep in touch.

Alan

Hey guys!

Sorry for ditching you guys but we ended up in Warrnambol (spelling?). I said I wanted to take it easy and do some sight seeing but Pete is such a bad influence and all I saw was a blur...

However it was a pleasure to meet some of you and good to hear you were "taking it easy" along GOR... :uh-huh:

If any of you are up this way don't hesitate to let us know.

Get a Whiteline Handling Kit. You can go faster :D

Btw: The 6spd TT Supra last night. Not bad...doesn't feel fast due to its down low torquey nature. But it's fast. Kinda like Den's car. It's missing the big torque hit as boost comes on.

Ula: I'll say again - was very fun run. A real buzz. Escpecially as we were legal for 90% of the time.

The flame-on 'feature' of the car is pretty cool! Nark saw flame at one point on the way down too. Pity I have this 'legality' conscious and will get a cat put on. Not before I get a photo though :D

james: ahhh... i wondered why all that black smoke was coming straight out when you were flooring it :P

Few got lost by the end point... but well there are a lot less skylines in VIC than NSW so we probably get less on our turnouts than up there.

well at the Geelong stage we had approx 17-20 cars if i'n not mistaken ?!?!?

lost about 3-4 at least before the pics i reckon.

That's not a bad turn out as talking to everyone.... approx 3/4 of those there had only had their cars a few months at the monst.

So that means things will only get better !

Plus there were a few that missed out but you get that.

    • My bad, I unplugged the one underlined in red instead of yellow before. With the car started, after unplugging the IACV (the one underlined in yellow), it idled at around 400/500 for 3 seconds before stalling. Attempting to start the car without the IACV will not start the car.   It does stutter and sputter for around 5 seconds before dying. However, immediately after starting it, you can already hear some slight sputters from the exhaust.   It won't start with the AFM unplugged. If it is when the car has already started, it stalls in a few seconds.   Yesterday, I did take some logs using Nistune of 3 scenarios. Car idling till it stalls Car idling and unplugging the IACV Car idling and removing the AFM I also have some previous logs of when the Car is idling till it stalls and when driving and it cuts. I am not really knowledgeable enough to understand what to look for. After every test, car idles rougher and rougher, until I have to stop. It will be fine the day after.
    • There is no difference between a 17x8 and an 18x8. The total diameter of the tyre needs to remain +/- the same (so you don't mess up the gearing, speedo reading, and clearance when turning front wheels..... so you just need to use a lower profile tyre on th 18 than you do on the 17. /rocket surgery.
    • I thought the same to start with. But then I thought it was one of those LCAs where the end of the ARB goes through a bushing in the LCA itself, instead of having an end link.
    • Yeah - I mean, go the other way. Smaller range. Not larger.
    • To re-cap, I bought: https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Lsailt-8G-Infiniti-Q50-Q60-2014_1601171829627.html?spm=a2756.trade-list-buyer.0.0.2cd476e9FTIlKE As you can see, if I bought 20 it was $653, but I bought 1 so it was $1,170. I was very tempted to buy 2 and resell 1 at 25% cheaper. @MBS206, I am not sure if they do a Kluger one, here is their list but it might be there under a global model name: http://www.lsailt.com/product/android-interface?page=1 Keep in mind these full android replacements have basically all the bits a phone does (cpu, ram, storage, wifi, bluetooth, usb interfaces) other than a screen (it uses a host), thus the $800+ cost. Android Auto screen mirroring is MUCH cheaper as it's just a cut down shell, input mirroring and output mirroring BTW I also need that "screen off" feature, it is much harder to see wildlife even if a dash is reasonably dark. Both the Fuga and V37 have display off buttons for night use, they just come back on for a second or 3 if you interact with it, eg skip a song.
