Noob Brake Question

i'm in the market for a new car and there is a nice skyline gtr available locally. It will most likely need new rear brake pads right away and being located in Canada I am hoping there is a direct swap from a north american car that I can use until I can buy some better pads. I've seen that GTS type M's front and rears are directly off a 300zx however nothing is said about GTR brakes. Are type M's the same brakes as on a GTR?

heh knew i forgot something, it's an 1990 so r32. Canadian imports laws restrict anything newer for now.

If the U.S or Canadian Z32 300ZXs have the twin piston Sumitomo calipers like the R32 GT-R does, then the pads should be a direct swap.

300ZX TT runs same brakes and pads as the R32s

cool that's what i had thought, i'd seen people say z32 brakes where swap overs for the type m's but nothing about the gtr. Thanks for all the responses. Hopefully soon to be another member of the skyline community (although slightly farther away)

yep they are the same pads front and rear. slightly different calipers though, and different rotors.
