Anyways back to the topic at hand...

Lets whore some more...

Bryn... I just called Enoggera Smash for you as i know your lazy and they said no. Their too busy and booked out til Christmas. So maby try another well branded smash repairer...

They said they dont mind doing stuff like this, but said their not mechanics and can only bolt it up. If there is a problem it is the customer issue to fix. They said they make cars look pretty not make them run well...

Makes sence?

Not to mention you need to cut a few 3" holes and pull the front end of the car apart...

I would rate is as a 3 start dificulity out of 5...

Fitting GT30 turbos is a 4 star... :P

Changing the oil is a half a start... ;)

Pretty simple process, ur over exagerating it col lol

I reckon $300 labour is what most are going to charge you...

I remember the 3" hole saw and chuck bit was $110 from bunnings just for that one item i needed. So the tools needes are not cheap...

I could do it for you if i had time... But with work im not back in Brisbane for more than 24 hours until Christmas... :)

Id suggest All Star as richard has all the bits to cut the front bar...

Rubbish, it CAN be done with a simple old angle grinder :D (ur not gonna see any of it anyway)

Im a post whore...

Yes yes yes i am...

Post whore am I...

that not what the post count says ;)

I UNDERSTAND WERE YOU ARE COMING FROM... BUT YOU SHOULD BE TALKING WITH JOHN... HE THE ONE THAT HAS BEEN SAYING THAT SAU ARE SAYING THINGS ABOUT ME...

and when have i said stuff about u? the only person that woulda said 'stuff' about u would be john (thats if he did)

hmm i wont talk to dan, we had issues, as nice a bloke im sure he is, i will go else where. a mate of mine jsut said that, since you suppling all the parts, they charge more as they wanna make money off ya

well if u do something to annoy him, of course ur gonna have issues, just like anyone

Hey shane, the kit arrived, only took 36 hours, thats some good postage.

yeah that is pretty decent postage hey! so did u go with the just jap one? and if you want i could put it on for ya

P.S i go away for a few hrs and i come back to 2 new pages! :O:P

hmm, it would be great to have you install, but i dont think we are both ever free at the same time, and me not able to drive, i couldnt have you driving to redcliffe... so i either pay, or wait till december :s

and when have i said stuff about u? the only person that woulda said 'stuff' about u would be john (thats if he did)

Well said...

I have to aggree... I have not been involved enough in whore town to even start to understand whats going on.

I shrug to try and understand the situation, but if you belive im having a go at you your wrong. Cause im not sure what the topic is about???

Angle grinder....

Ewwwwww....

Ill never be that dodgey.... I like the satisifaction of doing a job properly and knowing it is done right...

yes, but when u dont know EXACTLY where that pipe (left hand side one) comes through, it's much easier to use the angle grinder than a hole saw...u end up with the same result, and its not a structual binding 'mod' so it doesnt really matter how 'dodgey' it is

besides, giving it to a shop to do, how do i know they dont get the knew guy (1st day on job) to install it, without watching everything he does, they could be worse than me :s

My next few days will be spent making sure timing is good, it was running fine before doing the ECU and DBW swap, but want to verify.  I'll also probably swap in the new injectors I bought as well as a walbro 255 pump.
    • It would be different if the sealant hadn't started to peel up with gaps in the glue about ~6cm and bigger in some areas. I would much prefer not having to do the work take them off the car . However, the filler the owner put in the roof rack mount cavities has shrunk and begun to crack on the rail delete panels. I cant trust that to hold off moisture ingress especially where I live. Not only that but I have faded paint on as well as on either side of these panels, so they would need to come off to give the roofline a proper respray. My goal is to get in there and put a healthy amount of epoxy instead of panel filler/bog and potentially skin with carbon fiber. I have 2 spare rolls from an old motorcycle fairing project from a few years back and I think it'd be a nice touch on a black stag.  I've seen some threads where people replace their roof rack delete with a welded in sheet metal part. But has anyone re-worked the roof rails themselves? It seems like there is a lot of volume there to add in some threads and maybe a keyway for a quick(er) release roof rack system. Not afraid to mill something out if I have to. It would be cool to have a cross bar only setup. That way I can keep the sleek roofline that would accept a couple bolts to gain back that extra utility  3D print some snazzy covers to hide the threaded section to be thorough and keep things covered when not using the rack.
    • Probably not. A workshop grade scantool is my go to for proper Consult interrogation. Any workshop grade tool should do it. Just go to a workshop.
    • In my head it does make sense to be a fuel problem since that is what I touched when cleaning the system. When I was testing with the fuel pressure gauge, the pressure was constantly 2.5 bar with the FPR vacuum removed. When stalling, the pressure was going up to 3.0 bar (which is how it should be on ignition).
    • ECUtalk pages don't mention they support the ABS computer (consult port has more than one CAN), so you might just need a different scan tool. But, I would expect ABS is a different light to the brake warning/handbrake light, do you see an ABS light come on for a few seconds when you turn the key from ACC to IGN? But since you said: I'd have a look at the ABS sensors in the rear hubs to make sure they are not damaged, disconnected etc.
