theres also a few videos somehwere on there,.. i dunno if i like teh vent of not, my mums gto has them and they look alright, everyone to there own i guess.

do custom body kit shops have to make these gaurds or can we just go and get them rolled to look like the ones in the pics?

lol....my rear guards are rolled...that is about as far as you can go!

sorry guys went out for lunch....

john i'm unsure about the laws but i think its fine as long as ya wheels dont stick out past the guard end..

prices for something like that hmm i dunno really, depends who fabricates it really...

and anna yeah that blue 33 is the nicest widebody i've seen in ages and thats what i want HLUCN8 to look like.

There is also a law about increasing track to much isnt there?

ahh damm then! will have to buy new gaurds then i guess?

Yes the cheapest I have seen is done by skyline imports and it is about 13k fitted and painted...it is the neatest finnish but because the cut off your old rear guard and stitch the new rear guard in so there is no seam

Noy I would suggest this is what has happened on the blue one you posted (Best ever) as the finnish is so smooth

wanna get this kit now... just saw it on the dmd website.

$1600 just for the rear gaurds. An extra $500 with sideskirts.

this doesnt including the priming and spraying though.

$3500 for the whole kit though.

just rang DMD and see what they could do for me.

I said I want to stick to the 400R bar i got on it right now.

so he suggested i would need to widen the 400r bar out a bit to suite the whole kit as 1.

this i can do as i wanna roll the front gaurds as well!

this is sound better and better to do :woot:

Holy crap.....dream on i will i guess

its funny how people dont think there worth that much or that we as a company rip people off. but when it comes down to it carbon fibre aint cheap $800 worth of carbon just to make 1 bonnet then 1 sheet high density PVC $100, highly modified resin, then vacuum bag, vacuum bag tape, peel ply then custom bracketing system then painting them at least 3 times to remove porosity in carbon.. all the shit adds up

My adapter plate STILL isnt fcuking ready!!!! I jsut rang the useless pricks and they had to ask me if they were to cut it to the dxf file i sent them on thursday, or to the plate i provided them (when i clearly told them to cut it to the file). I cant believe they didnt ring me, when i told them i needed this ASAP, now i wont have it until tomorrow. Useless fcuks! :woot:

that is a cheap ass kakimoto rip off, dont do it you will regret it, to get a nice looking well integrated widebody budget 10k.....now it makes sense why not every one does it hey  Ps you wont be able to roll your front guards more than a and inch and a bit, you will need new front guards too

Actually if anyone finds a good place for a light guard rolling let me know, I need my fronts done, they almost cut one of my tyres off the rim at the track day lol

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
