we got our phone bill yesterday at work. the boss is not happy :( someone has been using the company phones to make excessively long calls to mobiles. one call cost us $40 :) staff are getting an ass kicking today :)

shane... how we goin to get ur car out to the photoshoot?

or can we leave urs till next yr?

yeah stuff it, leave it until next year, that way its got a better chance of being finished and not in pieces :)

Its alive!!!

my cars going. Oh and I got some iridiums now as well....

It was a dodgy wiring job. Someone had re-wired the top AFM for some reason... and it didnt work so well.

Bed time....

so we werent going crazy then with those intake pipes...what did they end up charging you? pm if u want

and john, bite urs :)

Ian what's up with your car? I saw in the spotted thread something about a truck? :):(

LOLZ, never mind :( Good to hear it's going :)

Its a looooooooooong story.....

Me and shane did some work on it which lead to a boost leak, which lead to me pulling it appart and apparently disturbing the AFM re-wire from hell which lead to me scratching my ass a few times trying to figure out what was wrong, along with missing out on driving on my own damn cruise, which then lead to a RACQ tow to the mechanics who eventually fixed it. Oh then when I drove away it still had a boost leak... Took it back, turns out the whole time there was one dodgy clamp that had had it causing the boost leaks, which lead to the wiring trouble etc....

Man im overtired atm, I should re-write that in a readable format but feeeeeeeeeh

goodnight all...

Heheheheeh "Truck" + Ian's GTR = loser mobile!!!

My car might not be a GTR, but it works!!!

Just jokes Ian, don't blow a gasket or something! (And I didn't mention Steph at all!!)

want a punch in the face :)

Haha dave, things have changed since you last saw my GTR up a mountain....

But im not one to tempt fate and dont want to get into any death runs over nebo over a grudge, so ill come out right now and say your probobly quicker then me over a mountain.

    • There's restrictor pills in the stock boost control hoses. That's how they set the amount that was bled off and hence the "high" boost setting. The usual mod in the day was to remove it and send the "high" boost setting up to about 14 psi.
    • Thanks Duncan, that's the best info I've read. Furthermore after learning about the PCM programming side controlling the factory boost solenoid, the purpose of the solenoid is to "bleed" boost when pin 25 is earthed, thus allowing spring pressure in the wastegate actuator to overcome diaphragm boost pressure, thus closing or reducing the position of the wastegate flap creating more boost as the turbo is able to spin faster. It's pretty cool to see a designated Pill to do exactly this, would have liked to have seen it with a tiny filter over the end for those moments in vacuum.  The constant bleed pill has now been removed completely from the system and solenoid boost control has been restored once again.   Case closed 😂
    • The wideband reading is meaningless if it's not running. Why are you using shitty old sidefeeds on any engine, let alone a Neo? What manifold and fuel rail are you using to achieve that? Beyond that, can't help you with AEM stuff as I've never been their ECU/CAS combo.
    • Manual boost controllers (where a little of the boost was bled off) were quite common back in the day, because they were cheap and easy. Generally they had a manual adjustment screw rather than being fixed like yours. Down side is they always bleed boost, not just when you want them to so an electronic boost controller that uses a solenoid will have less lag.
    • Hello , im new here and i have A31 home build  RB25det neo stock eng / turbo  aem ems 2 blue connector  aem 3.5 map aem cas disk aem wideband connected to ecu  355 lph pump 550 nismo yellow injectors side feed aftermarket regulator  and won’t start with base aem tuner basic tune eventually flipped cas 180 degree so it triggers on correct stroke not in exhaust cycle  Now it won’t start Wideband reads 10 and 11 at lowest fuel setting  and will share calibrations soon for aem tuner i think something is wrong in aem tuner    please if you have any information, am very grateful
