i see your point, but when ever i have been looking at parts they always seem more expensive...and how much boost can you run on stock sr engine...i have heard of people running more the 1 bar on stock rb's. not saying that there is much different, and like always i am not sayin one is better then the other.

an sr is a new engine, better technology, but like an rb they have there down falls.

who you callin sexy.....whore man

Been looking at lots of parts lately and the SR ones are usually cheaper

Marki I ran 18psi for a year on my stock RB25 and the headgasket did not blow, 17 to 18psi is considered the limit

I ran 23psi on an unopened RB25. Buggered if I know how but it refused to die, I had another bottom end ready to go but I ended up not needing it. Certainly not something I'd recommend trying though :P I just did it because I considered the stock bottom end to be expendable lol

im actually soo use to him not picking up, i just leave messages, i get a supprise when he actually does pick up :P

really, ive never had dan miss a call from me.

i must be the favourite

hiya marc..

it didnt ring out..

im just saying in general.. the prices are cheaper for the unliked 4 bangers.. as in coilpanks cheaper GKtech have full turbo back exhaust for 400 new.. turbos are cheaper most of the time for say T2 flanges. pfcs are cheaper.. only cause they are more common on the SR u can pick up a redtop SR pfc for 4-600 and here a R33 gtst one goes for 1250 in a matter of hours.

also clutches and boxes cheaper.. diffs cheaper. yes they are weaker but less weight play a part in the design..

    • I know people cry at the price of the Getrag 12-14k for a conversion now, but it really is a nice mid point. Not going to get change from 10k on a gearset installed.  $30k++ for sequential.   I know you run the risk of a damaged used one and parts are hard to get but as a street car gearbox its really hard to beat. If you enjoy a more traditional manual, its the choice no question.
