Maybe EA and M$ have the same guy making the decisions on how best to piss off paying customers.

There is No maybe about that little fact, one of the more senior execs at MS in the Xbone division was VERY high up at EA for a long time

also, when is ps4 release date?

and will it have back play?

love my ps range.

"Holidays 2013" so I'd say November.

No backwards compatibility. Not sure why people actually care about this feature. It's not like your old machine suddenly disappears if you buy a new one, and besides the PS2 no machine has ever really done backwards compatibility anyway. The 360 had limited compatibility that was gimped to say the least. I'd rather a machine with no backwards compatibility then gimp a new machine to make it work with old games.

In the plus side, PSN will be doing digital distribution of 'critically acclaimed' PS1, PS2 and PS3 games :)

Glenfiddich Master is a stupidly over priced 12 year old whisky. Double wood ageing does not mean you can suddenly start charging $100 a bottle fo what is essentially the same shit they sell for $50 a bottle. At the $100 price point I could give you a list of whiskies as long as my arm that are better value for money.

or you could pay a smidgen more and buy Glenfiddich 18 year old where a single malt is also aged in the same mix of barrels and using the same process as the Master.

How you get away with charging nearly the same for a 12 year old as an 18 year old when they are aged in an almost identical process is unknown to me... That is some clever marketing.

agree but it is predominantly a marketing game. having said that SM whiskys start at $50-$60 per bottle. That Glenfiddich Master is being  by me FTM.

Glenfiddich Solera Tun 15 year old for starters. Same mix of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks for maturation and a significantly longer maturation time in each before blending to achieve the flavour profile.

Got it, but not opened it. Will see what it brings and how it compares to its younger brother (14yo. american oak casks - which is too dry for me but still very nice)

Killed that 18y.o. bottle, absolutely sensational - hints of apple, cinnamon and custard - t'is all marketing Andrew you know that.

Best value for money IMO - Highland Park 12 yo. (if you like it smokey  )

forgot to mention that the Glenfiddich Distillery Edition (15yo) is also fantastic at 51% proof and non-chill filtered (can get a 1litre bottle for less than 120 big ones) got two bottles at home - very spicy

Boz - "the man" when it comes to scotches

I have asked and been school by him before :)

wot u talkin bout.....you get taken to school everyday :woot:

Talisker 10, Ardberg 10 and Glenmorangie 10 are all my picks for the bang for buck singles. All around the $70 a bottle mark :)

Got Ardbeg 10 and Uigeadail - very different from most - smoky but delicate and powerful at same time - hints of cookies and cream (yum)

Glenmorangie owns Ardbeg but my fav out of all Glenmorangie I have is the Nectar D'or - wonderful whiksy (half way through it) - butterscotch, grilled peanuts come to mind wow!

My go to is Laphroaig Quarter Cask :) Love me some Islay malts.

I'm a highland man - with HP being my favourite collection - Glenfiddich is warming up to me though

have and tasted many more like - HP 25yo words cannot describe this - plus just got voted 100 points (musky nose, white chocolate and christmas cake, unbelievably drinkable)

Suntory SM also awesome - I could write a book about this ;)

I think that Japanese whiskies are way understated from a market share point of view. They are if not already better than some scotch whiskies.

Have 12 yo Yamazaki - very nice - lots of sherry with hints of caramel and sultanas

    • Is the panel filter one that is oiled? Have you ever cleaned or touched the AFM?
    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
