Random question but does anyone know where or if the pharse "Noah go forth and build me an Ark made of Gopher wood" appears in the bible? I've googled the scripture from Genesis 6 and it seems totally different from what I remember from Religious Ed in Primary School.

You would need alot of horny gophers to make an ark from gopher wood lmao

There are a heap of different translations of the bible and some are worded quite differently. Some attempt to translate it 'word-for-word' where others attempt to convey the meaning of the original Hebrew/Aramaic/Greek texts. The end result can be very different.

I can't find a translation that exactly matches what you said for Genesis 6:14 but the king james version is close:

KJV - Make thee an ark of gopher wood; rooms shalt thou make in the ark, and shalt pitch it within and without with pitch.

Contrast that to the New King James, New International Version and English Standard Versions:

NKJ - Make yourself an ark of gopherwood; make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and outside with pitch.

NIV - So make yourself an ark of cypress wood; make rooms in it and coat it with pitch inside and out.

ESV - Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.

Apparently the exact type of wood specified is not certain - no one knows the correct translation of the original Hebrew word.

Genesis 6:12-24 or Genesis:6:14-22 from memory...

"SAU, go forth and build thee an Ark made of coke cans" Was thinking about doing a vinyl sticker for it. Yellow engine light with the $ in the middle with the words "Project Ark".

Hopefully with any luck after the renovations are done she'll be show worthy.

Wedge. Leopard is not a skyline so this day holds no relevance :P

You might be missing the Leopard, she is very pretty. What happened to the Wedge?

This.

I know they're all translated differently. I've read like 6 different versions this morning and couldn't find exactly what I remembered, so I rang my catholic grandmother, who seemed quite thrilled that I was calling to discuss Religion. Should have just gone and watched that Steve Carell movie instead.

Google says that it's Gen 6:14 where that line occurs.

Just get a sticker saying "Gen 6:14"

Then I look like a Churchie, although I think most people know that Gen 6:14 is Noahs Ark.

Do you think we can build secret compartments inside my Ark? After all I have to keep all those dead hookers somewhere.

Going down to Bunnings soon to get a piece of MDF. Sick of the sink hole in my boot. I have to come into The Valley to pick up a bridal shower gift so I'll take Georgina's measurements while I'm there.

Define "Most people"?

I had no idea....

I wouldn't park around the back if I was you. It's a bit of a shit fight in here today. Can you grab the MDF and stuff tomorrow. There are a few other bits and bobs that I need from Bunnings as well.

Okays. Can you make me a shopping list if its more than say 5 things, my brain is a sink hole.

    • So.... the K&N air box thingo was too big, ended up gifting it to a mate, well, by gifting it he actually supplied food and beer at the pub,  which was nice, as it will not sit on a shelf in the garage for the next 10 years I did trim up some of the existing stuff to neaten it all up and gave it some wrinkle paint, unfortunately it currently has a used and abused mish mash of different types of hose clamps, 4 big fat T bolt type (shit), and a few normal clamps of vairing sizes and brands, but..... only until the 6 constant tension black worm clamps that I ordered from EFI solutions turn up next week Currently the current hose clamps are triggering me hard, LOL Is this the final version, probably not, I really want just 2 silicone pieces, a straight bit of silicone from the filter to the MAF is easy and will happen as soon as I head into Just Jap tomorrow, the problematic part is a 30° silicone bend from the MAF to the TB that I can connect the engine breather from the head, I found that there are bulk head fittings for boat bilge pumps that should work, but until I can get a 30° silicone bend the alloy pipe, and the 11ty thousand hose clamps, are there for the foreseeable future 4 hose clamps are golden, 6 are grudgingly acceptable, the 8 currently holding it all together is just taking the piss    I've also ordered 60 more retaining wall blocks for the front yard, I mis-gonculated the height that was required to get above the base of the Photinia's (red robin's) that are the hedge behind the front fence, currently it is 2 blocks high, and about 1/2 a block short, so going 3 blocks high will be above the base of the red robin's, and allow some room for mulch
    • It is the stock air box with the panel filter. Everything else is stock except the exhaust at this point, as I also went back to the cleaned 270cc injectors. I will check the RPM when the IACV is unplugged and report back.
    • As MBS suggested if this is happening when the engine is cold you're going to want to remove the intake air regulator and verify resistance + that the shutter is physically opening and closing. At -20C should be fully open, 20C half open, over 60C fully closed. At 20C should be 70-80 ohms. For AAC valve testing using a Consult cable see if you can raise and lower the idle by commanding more or less AAC duty cycle. Hopefully it's pretty linear as well, shouldn't be like 30% AAC valve is barely idling and 40% is 1500 rpm.
