Well and truly aware. It's the feeling that I miss most though. :(

I like to use for engine braking.

just the feel the whole drive line is connected.

in saying that, id have an auto behind an 8.

I prefer manual, that's why I learnt to drive in one however I will give autos one thing, they are very convenient.

I couldn't drive manual for a very long time, that's why I had to sell my Lancer and in that time I became very lazy.

I don't have to clutch in, or worry about changing gears when someone slams their breaks in front of me

I can eat, drink and programme my GPS while driving- I just slap her in auto and WA-LA.

If I was to sprain my ankle, break my leg or smash my pelvis (the reason I had to sell my car) I can keep driving.

Driving means everything to me, I actually think I would die if I had my drivers licence taken off me because its my freedom.

For a dual track/road car I think a worked tiptronic is the way to go. Best of both worlds.

As a daily I'd just go an auto, who really gives a flux when you have to stop every 30 metres for a red light.

For a track car, manual all the way.

I've had manual cars until I first busted up my left knee. Manual became impossible, especially in my first car. Cable actuated clutch, 5 ceramic button solid centred disc with 2200lb clamping force pressure plate...

After the 2nd time I busted it I bought an auto. I still had a manual play car, just not a daily.

    • Does it also misfire equally when revving?   Josh is very correct in what you should do. The coilpack harness wiring loom itself is a known problem due to its age and the number of heat cycles it has gone through. Throwing parts at a vehicle to diagnose the issue isn't a smart or good way to do it. Secondly, you may have a bad coil pack, you pop replacements in, they fix that issue, but messing with the harness breaks it, so the issue persists. So now you think "well it wasn't the coil packs" and have to continue chasing your tail, potentially swapping back in your shit coil packs and returning the good ones (yes, I've seen people do this because 'it wasn't the problem' and they want to save money). And suddenly, you've got two issues with the same symptoms...   Diagnose, don't use the spare parts shotgun.
