Im gonna try out a set of them Federal SS595 tyres. At $145.90 for 245x50x16, I think that’s fairly good value.

If anyone is after any tyres (be it for your skyline’s or family cars) at ‘wholesale’ prices, I’d suggest Chris Gilligan, 0438 328 264, he’s who I’ve gotten my tyres through n has beaten all the prices out there. Only thing is, to keep his overheads down, he doesn’t deliver nor does he fit the tyres, but he lives close to me so I could arrange something if need be. If you do ring him, tell him you heard him from me

Sorry for just popping off, I had fire training, which I forgot about. I got to use a fire extinguisher. OoooOoo00ooo!!!

Yes Shane, we got the car back yesterday. She is just perfect!

yeah but when he rides ya ass, and keeps driving beside u wanting to go, ofcourse u go.... i killed it completely lol... wasnt until i got caught at a red, he wound down the window and flashed the badge......

thing is, he used a mobile phone to do bck ground check, and told me to come in tomorrow for a ticket... so im guess hes off duty... no proof of my speed.

can he fine me?

I just would not show up Bryn...

If it ever catchs up with you im sure you would easilly get off cause what were you doing??? And who was there to back up the claims by the officer???

You say;

What WRX???

When was this???

You must be kidding me, he told me to come in for a ticket, are you joking??? When did cops start telling people to pick up a ticket

said he didnt like writing them, and i was to be at the station at 2pm sharp.. any later and i would recieve a notice to appear in court....

wrx was brand new turbo rexxy, in dark blue.. dont know the plates...

was at the deagen deviation around midday..

according to brisbane head office (greg called em for me) an off duty cop can issue tickets, and if told to appear at the station you MUST appear..

Thats CRAP...

Dont show i would not... If he cannot write me a ticket there and then... I would not show up at all...

Its BS...

They can take the time to come to my door if they want to give me a ticket... If you turn up to accept the ticket your admitting guilt. Let them chase you and then take them to court...

lol what a wanger, i would otld him to nick off n drive a better car

nah serious, id just forget about it bryn, nothing they can do about it caus a)he was off duty and b)he has no proof of the speeds u were doing.

BTW, street racing is naughty :D....oh how i cant wait to get the gtr run in :PBJ:

well alteast listen to col's advice, let them send it to you if they are actually going to issue you with a ticket

hell im sure if they could they woulda pinned you for street racing and woulda impounded ur car (or what ever they can do with that stupid law)

Id call the officer and tell him your at work and cannot make it if your worried...

Tell him that he needs to issue a statement of the actions taken for your court appearance.... That will either get him to back off or really pi$$ him off...

I reckon he will back down...

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
