Recent picture of mine with the BLITZ LM cooler done in black and the GTR lip in a gloss

Don't really like the lip - what you guys think?

I want to do it in a different colour or maybe even go back to silver

Anways sits so high on 18s so got rid of them, going back to some 17 x 9s and going to slam it to the ground again

Thanks for that man

Yeah was considering getting ADVANS again but very hard to find a decent set, I almost bought a set last night then later realised they were 4 stud :shy:

Going to some R33 GTR rims for a while, 17 x 9 so should drive/handle pretty good - only problem is I can't decide weather to do them, black or white?

Any thoughts from anyone?

Yeah I don't know about this lip man, I think I will pull it off tonight and sand it back and repaint it again - I just can't get the right look with this thing!

hey champ.Looks alirght paint the spoiler. My car has 19s n its on the ground. So is my mates n his's a gts-t too.I think ur problem is the width n offset thats maybe a cause to your non lowness if ya know what i mean

Black rims ftw, will match your matte black lip then

Yeah thinking black man, doing my calipers black soon too with the 'NISSAN' in white but pretty certain that I'm going to go back to the silver lip

Go back to the silver lip, abu. Looks better in my opinion. So did you end up getting the 33 GTR wheels?

Yeah thinking silver lip now man, old photos are changing my mind

Yeh widths and offsets were the issue thats why I couldn't go any lower

Changing that now, gone to 17 x 9 rims and going to slam it to the floor - now I just need to decide what color to do the rims, black, white, gunmetal or leave it silver

Old picture of how the car looked with the silver lip, no cooler there though and obviously different wheels before - love the way it looked!! Not so happy with the way it looks at the moment :)

Abu: I think.. same colour lip and slam it would look good mate and 33GTR wheels would look good on ur mate..

here my 32 with 33GTR wheels..

Thanks for that man

Yeah I thinking about painting the lip silver again and slamming it on the R33 GTR wheels in the same colour, standard silver

If it doesn't look too good I will powder coat them black but will see how they look with the black lip first

EDIT: Taking the lip off tomorrow, its getting done in silver on Thursday!!

I could have got my lower lip colour matched to my car but i think it looks tuffer when its matte black and the car is white or silver... any other colour lip should be matched i reckon... just my 2 cents

Hey Abu, shame the wheels don't suit your liking....I think R33 GT-R wheels will look the bomb. You're more than welcome to trial fit mine if you like :D

I was thinking of powdercoating my wheels black again but need some more dough and don't know if it will suit so great - standard silver is really good.

In regards to your lip i would prefer it black, even though color matching gives it that lower appeal.

BTW got the N1 lip on my car....Now i need to take some new photos :)

All the best,

Steve.

Hey Steve

N1 lip hey, I'm keen to see what that looks like - I was considering getting one just today but don't know if it will suit my car

Yep the lip in black looks tuff, matches my cooler - I got that powder coated in black as well, looks tuff but I reckon the lip in silver looked way better and neater

Anyways taking the lip off tomorrow and its getting painted Thursday, wheels probably won't be here till early next wee so I won't be able to make a decision till then

For the moment I will leave them silver just to see how it looks but I'm really considering doing them in black after the car gets tuned

Anyways get some pictures up of the new N1 lip so I can decide weather to get one or not! ;)

    • Short answer: No. Medium answer: No, because you still need to conjure the things out of thin air to bolt them to a NA to make it a NA+T. Long Answer: No - The things you need to conjure - meaning a turbo, intercooling, manifolds, exhaust, intake/manifold/piping, clutch, injectors, fuel pump, AFM (?), ECU + Wiring (woo, N/A loom fun) have to come from somewhere. You could have many scavenged these things from an OEM car that someone had upgraded from and use some of these. This will be cost prohibitive now, especially so in the USA. You'd probably pay the same for newer, upgraded components that are better than old OEM stuff from 25-30 years ago. None of these big ticket items are re-usable for the N/A car. Why not buy new and upgrade while you're there? The only real consideration is turbo and fuel sizing and determining whether you want to stay within the bounds of the OEM engine or get into rebuild territory. These limits ARE lower with a N/A motor and especially N/A gearbox at the starting point. And if you're gonna upgrade those then you may as well consider having them built to begin with. Because everyone here knows you're never far from that next engine rebuild once you start making the power you want... The cars you see on the internet and SAU etc have been built over decades. If you're really clued in... you would sell your US car to somebody for what you paid for it. You would then scour AU JDM pages or SAU and buy a car like Dose's on this forum with your powerful American Dollar. This will save you so much money in the long term. Importing it could be tricky. Or it might not because USA. I have long said the only reason 90's Japanese stuff took off was because a) Japanese people had Japanese cars so that is what they used b) Australians could import these cars to Australia with very minimal changes and use them on the road here c) Neither country had well-priced access to US or EU Sports Cars. I don't believe the JDM scene would have taken off in Australia at all if we had EU priced EU BMW M offerings, or more especially the AUS V8 Scene would never have existed if we had the multitude of US cars like Camaros, Mustangs, Corvettes at the prices you folks do. After all - Do the math. I would say put a V8 in your R34 and that's the smart way forward. It is. I did it. I know this from my own experience. But at that point there's no reason to simply not buy a C5 or C6? It would be simpler and easier and cheaper and bette-
    • Reading all this... hurts lol. I have an ENR34 5MT and I paid an inflated USA price for the car alone, had to do tons of preventative maintenance past that, and so I'm over $30K USD into the car already and haven't even touched power.  I wanted to +t it. Not even trying to make GTR numbers, I'd be happy with 250hp.  Can I get away with paying much less to make that happen?
    • Damn you’ve done well, definitely snapping necks.
