Car Security: Satellite Tracking

hey guys and gals,

I saw a story on ACA with the R34 theft, and was just pondering the idea of getting satellite tracking.

does anyone have any experince, know the cost of, (or tried to steel a car with one...lol)?

All the info on the net seems to be more orientated about bosses keeping an eye on their workers.

I haven't got it but want it also, been in the same boat trying to find out the different options. Seems you can either have a unit you buy then you pay for a subscription to a company who monitors it for you and in the case it's stolen give the details to the police and they recover it for you (you hope anyway we all know what the police are like with stolen cars) Kinda like monitored home security. Or you can have yourself a more DIY approach which I like the sound of more and get something like this http://www.carminder.com.au/index.htm .
