It sucks to lose a car, but if insurance will cover it then there's really not that much to worry about. The main thing is you're still healthy. It's a huge inconvenience to lose your transportation but you will get a new car soon enough.

Besides, if you get a better car it helps you get over losing the last one

The cops did that to me when I had an accident, the officer said call back tomorrow then went on leave for a week. When you get back to the cops you should ask them for a copy of the full report, it will make any future insurance arrangments easy.
