SOLD

I have a white 1994 R32 GTR that I recently just imported.

I have import approval, all customs and quarintine clearance papers and have already paid a

deposit of $1000 for SEVS compliance.

Unfortunately the oil pump shit itself and motor ran without oil for a bit so the engine needs a rebuild or the car will need a new engine before it can be complied and registered. The motor still cranks over(hasnt seized) but doesnt start. I am going to do a compression test in next few days. The true condition of the damage done or condition of the engine will only be known once its stripped down.

So if you buy this car you have to pay remaining $1700 for compliance and pay for rego.

as well as rebuild the engine.

The car is very neat and tidy and also has aftermarket suspension, heavy duty clutch, strut brace and

3.5 inch exhaust

Interior is very clean, the car has 123,000 k's.

It is a good potential buy for some one who was going to rebuild to a stronger engine anyway.

If you do the Maths you could have yourself a nice 94 R32 GTR with a fresh engine for

around 19,000 -20,000 depending on the cost of the rebuild.

At the moment I just cant afford to rebuild or buy new engine for it as I am strapped for cash and just want to get rid of it, as I also have another car getting an engine built at the moment as well

I am looking for 11,000 for it and am located in Melbourne.

Im very interested in your car but i need to know more. If i bought it i would have to get it freighted up, because i am in Queensland. Are you sure it is a R32? I didnt think they made them in 94'. If its a R32 is it twin turboed? So it needs a complete rebuild? email me [email protected]

Yes, they did manufacture R32 GTR's in 1994, and yes it is twin turbo being a GTR.

Who's compliancing it?

Also, where abouts in Melbourne are you located. Am interested in checking it out.

The people compliancing it are called Imported vehicle compliance centre in Craigieburn, they were one of the first workshops to get the SEVS plates for late model R32's

I am located in western suburbs. Taylors Lakes

The thing needs a rebuild and someone is worried about a $50 part.... it never ceases to amaze me.

Great price for a late model GTR in anyones language, rebuilds are costly but even factoring that in its a bargain! Best of luck with it!

Also spoke to the compliance place today and they said it would be fine for whoever bought it off me to takeover the compliance and pay the rest and also they said they don't mind how long it takes for the rebuild to get done and then bring the car to get complianced(even 2-3 months). Just as long as its running when you bring it to them.

and as Morgs said if you do the maths you still get a late model GTR with a fresh engine for a good price.

11,000 - to buy the car off me

1,700 - remaining compliace cost.

1,000 - registration costs

= 13,700

so even if the rebuild costs you 6 grand it would only be like 20,000 all up.

If you can get the rebuild cheaper, have another RB26 to put in or can do it your self it would be an even better bargain.

the rear right tailight cover is cracked. I can get one from wreckers for 70-80 bucks already in white

Aint just your light. your whole boot aint even sitting straight. any leaks in it? if not is there a chance rain could get into the boot if left out in the open?

Hi,

You might want to check the implications of selling the vehicle before a compliance plate is fitted.

Import approvals state "To sell the vehicle or use it in transport in Australia before a Used Import Plate is affixed could be an offense under section 16 of Act etc"

DoTaRS should be able to clarify this for you.

Cheers

Jo

    • Sorry to hear your HFM BM57 was faulty,  did you contact HFM I would hope they would be at least grateful for the information if there was some sort of manufacturing fault, you would hope they would be sympathetic even if your item was 2 years old if it had never been fitted. May I ask where it leaked from ?
    • Cats are called Bella, and Donna...  Like that poisonous plant And I remember your 2 monsters, I remember making a little bit of wee when you let them out... LOL I have already installed cat doors into the laundry where their kitty litter is, and the sun room, apart from the cat doors there's not going to be any permanent mounted stuff on the interior walls (interior doors are cheap and easy to replace) I will get a outdoor cat cage thingie once I finish the landscaping out back... https://catnip.com.au/ The only off limit areas are the main bedroom and the gym room....but, currently the cats are curled up in bed, in the main bedroom with the Mrs.....LOL, the off limits for the kittens to the main bedroom lasted about 5 minutes with Jackie I currently only have 1 free standing huge cat tree multiple level scratching post thingie in the lounge room, but, I will be getting another one soon now that I'm happy with the furniture layout in the back room and have a perfect spot for it
    • All of this is making it seem clear that running the Coppermix twin was definitely the way to go, especially in hindsight with how insane tariffs have gotten and the strength of the USD vs yen at the time.
    • That sounds like no chance of even importing one for road registering then Now I see why Duncan wants to check LHD rules for Targa...   I wonder how "bolt in" the AWD would be if you got one imported from the US and swapped it to an AUD one
    • Not to mention they drive like a bucket of bolts! yuck!
