nothing of the xenon light system looks to be cut, just missing the globe, the adjuster in my cabin works too, the braided xenon system has been pushed into the back of the headlight other ppl out there check because the braid is negative potential and is not far off the positive terminal of the new headlights, i just had to do some insulating until i find some xenons.

there was a group buy for xennon lights for 250 i belive, and btw all HID kits are ALL from china now, all the german makes ARE in china, they are just labled with different brands, just have a closer look at the design and u can see. if u are still interested in a set i can get a few in, they come with 1 year warranty for H1 (skylines etc) are 250 but the H4 H/L are 350 i only got a few set left if u stil want them.

I've had a look behind the headlight and I don't see anything cut... Someone care to take a picture so I know what I'm looking at? My globes have 'japan' written on them, if that counts for anything...

lol

I haven't put those globes in - those litech ones - cause my lights are fine atm.

why is it shit ass? ive tried it its good. and i have compared it with the original its not far off. At least its much better than halogens bulbs though.

  • 7 years later...

When I took my stag to compliance shop I asked them not to remove the xenons.. lets face it, they are far better than adr approved POS.. I'll take my chances :) Went to regency (SA) for inspections and the first thing they got me to do was turn all my lights on and pop the bonnet.. (I had the lights on all the way there so they were warm), dont know if this helped or if the inspector had a big night before but totally skipped past them.. got failed but only because I didnt have an 80km/h sticker on the spare.. easy fixed. For the record, the adjustment wheel on the right of the steering wheel does absolutly nothing im pretty sure.. wtf! How would one test if it works? Oh, also had a japanese road flare still strapped in on the passenger footwell. Kinda surprised they didnt complain. Has regency gotten a little lax iver tbe years? They used to be freaking relentless. Peace

^^^add on for above post^^^

Just got home from work (12.30am), tested adjuster knob for lights on my steep as f*** driveway.. knob works great just didnt realise as when I was playing around with it the first time I was driving from melbs..

The only thing I want to know is there any difference in the S2 headlights which have the Xennon sticker/label on the front of the headlight and the ones that don't..

To me they look all the same just wondering if the reflectors are different in the lights.

    • Ok I get you. But isn’t the butterfly intake a headache with the +T?  see this is my plan so far but please advise me into the right direction.  Nistune Ecu, 1000cc Bosch injectors, TD05 or TD06 Kinugawa turbo using stock rb25det exhuast manifold, walbro fuel pump unsure of model I think it’s 450/460, spitfire coils and sparks to suit and a R35 MAF sensor and boost sensor.    I was thinking maybe do a cheap eBay plenum $400-500 or try find a stock det neo intake. I think I’d port match it so it’s getting the full capacity but open to advice please.  Thanks
    • The issue now is the 'fuel cut' while driving, and when it happend, it does not stall. This, I did not test the fuel pressure while driving as I cannot with a fuel pressure gauge. I do have Nistune logs, yes. I have also replaced the MAF Sensor.   Also related to the FPG Fuel Hanger – I just realized that I need a Deutsch Crimp Tool to crimp some cables for the FPG Fuel Hanger. Need to purchase additional cables as the kit only included 2, which are for the float. FPG has not responded to my emails so far since purchasing. I thought about taking it to someone and having it done professionally, but I am reluctant since everyone I took it to messed up in some way.
    • There's a good German place in Brisbane if youre up for the drive 😛
    • The German place in Cabramatta was rock solid, fresh pretzel cooked to order back then. Then it went all quiet, after all the poker machines were removed, then I believe it closed for good. I did drive past the other week and noticed outdoor lighting a big screen, but no idea what is there now.
    • Yeah I suspect even if you hold airmass per cycle/cylinder constant if you get too far away from stock you're still going to have problems running the factory tune within the bounds of the factory load scale. Cams, different displacement/rod ratio, etc. I'm just lucky that the GTIII-SS with wastegate boost + CA compliance cats is pretty much equivalent to stock turbos. When I have actual space I can finally get it tuned and modify the fuel system for flex fuel to 100% handle any detonation concerns when cranking the boost to whatever those dinky turbos can put out.
