a buddy of mine from newcastle went to wsid last night to run his r32 gtr, only having done 4 passes on the track in this car he managed a 10.8et at 123 mph.

first pass of the night was a 10.9 at 124 he said it wheel spun bad of the line and sixty footed in the high 1.6 region.

nest pass just did a launch and cruised through

next pass launched well and decided to stay into it and run the 10.8 with a high 1.5 sixty foot.

i am not sure of the spec of the car, as speaking skyline is like trying to speak spanish for me.

it has low mount turbos of some description, all factory cooler plumbing, its a built engine standard gearbox good clutch and he used TWOOGLEs tyres for last night.

he has been booted till he gets all the safety gear. so it will be a while till the time improves.

i think there is more left in it as he reports only 21 psi was used. not sure on fuel type but i know theres no gas yet.

Yup he was afew cars infront of me last nite, that's 1 tough looking and sounding GTR.

From memory it made 415rwkw on the dyno wednesday morning and it's a 2.7L with unknown turbo's and a twin plate clutch.

I believe he has done more than 4 runs, actually he did 4 runs last nite and atleast 4 runs on another meeting I seen him at.

it made 415 kw on hills dyno, i sent him a message back saying take 30% off and the figure will be about right and the MPH backs that up some what.

all the cars i have heard about coming of hills dyno with these big figures have not been able to replicate it elsewhere or on the track with MPH.

Glens, happy with the result and feels there is more there with more driving and playing with tyre pressures.

i think theres a 10.6 in the car when fully sorted.

Awesome work on the 10.8, very efficient et for the mph well done

I think one of the GTR's from up there parked next to me aswell last time I was racing which made me move my car hahaha as I had a mate and my wife and kids coming in 2 other cars and was trying to keep each side clear for them to park next to me sorry if it seemed rude

    • Hello!  i just finished manual swaping my r34 skyline with a r33 rb20de box(RB71C)box  When the car is running it squeaks crazy loud and it was smoking from the gearbox area. The gearbox is fine it was tested. The clutch slave cylinder seems like it doesn't fully releases the clutch. I want to ask if this noise is from the throw out bearing or could it be the clutch assembly or disk att.xFliq87Gzw6kImKBVqDebXkj0fBqymk0JaYeP3_3SlM.mp4
    • A few small updates since the previous post and lessons. I decided to do a little interior light upgrade on the 110. I quite like the iilumo items, even if they're a bit of a premium over other brands. You'll also note the Stedi Fogs, that will go into the S15 fog lights as I needed to match the bulbs since I got the new ones earlier. I hope they fit as the body is quite a bit longer than your normal bulb.  Annoyingly, I managed to trip the fuse, which normally wouldn't be an issue until I located the fuse. I can't say I've ever come across this. I had lucked out that someone nearby had a spare, but oddly enough Toyota dealerships seem to keep this in stock. I ordered some to keep in my stash and as luck would have it, someone else nearby tripped the same fuse so I passed on the favour.  I also did a little service on the 110 ahead of some additional work coming up. It's been annoying that Goleby's stopped carrying this particular HKS filter for the 110, so now I need to keep them on order from Japan. I also took the opportunity to install a bash plate and number plate riser. The plate riser is such a cheap but nice fix to help really tidy up the car. I'm tempted to now also replace my headlights, on this car. Both items were from Project Aero.    I also needed to replace the rear tyres on the 110, and after trying to get it aligned learnt that I need to replace some bushes in the front end, so that's next.  Closing out this update with a nicer picture as always!
