Hello Guys and Girls,

The 3rd round of Drift Australia will arrive in NSW at Eastern Creek on the weekend of 29th and 30th of July, next weekend.

Entry to watch is only $15 for Saturday, $25 for Sunday and $35 for the whole weekend... that is cheap as for national motorsport! and the track layout will mean that you can see the WHOLE track from the one spot...

For all the details jump on the Drift Australia Website www.driftaustralia.com.au

See you all there gang.

Also don't forget to watch SpeedWeek tomorrow, Sunday 23rd of July, for all the action from round 2 in Qld!

Stay Sideways,

Dan.

does it cost anything to spectate?

Yeah I made it a little more obvious steve... sorry about that James...

Drift Australia cost $1650 per round to compete

Ouch

Think of all the trackdays you could do instead of that!

OP GP @ 220

mmm OP GP

How many do you do a year?

hahaha silly me.....thanks for clearing it up...............very interested..............definitely want to go and have a look next week.

yikes, 1650 to compete per round.....ARRRGGGHHHH..think of all the goodies you can buy for the car.

From experience, there is heaps of cars on track on Saturday, lots of spins, and some awesome drifting in the morning while people learn their limits, Saturday arvo Qualifying can produce some spellbinding runs... particularly if someone nails their first qualifyer and goes all out for that top spot!!! pure gold. And there is team drift at the end as well.

Sunday is Battles a plenty, infact all day long... and with team drift in between it is certainly going to be a top display of wicked drifting... there can be some breaks in between through (although I have heard that by the arvo those on the hill won't mind too much as they can use the time for a pit stop to get rid of excess booze!) This round though DA are trying really hard to have track action all day long on Sunday and to get rid of the gaps.

Me, I'd just go both days... hell for $35 for the whole weekend and that gets you pit access and the best seats in the house, compared to the V8 taxi's starting at $100 for a weekend for paddock access at Oran Park... can't beat it!

If I had to Choose it would be Sunday... but I'd be pissed I had missed seeing the action on Saturday. :(

Hope that helps,

Dan.

    • @GTSBoy This method was able to get readings of -10 to -2, so it looks like its monitoring.  Now I need to figure out why the vacuum on the line provided isn't alternating with manifold pressure.  I went with 2 lines that an RB25 tuner recommended but I'll get a longer hose and try directly off the back of the manifold.  He may have been used to OEM intake setups while I have a DBW setup that removed the MAF and IACV.
    • I work at a car detailing and tinting shop called Quark which gets all manner of German cars in usually (mainly due to a contract with Mercedes Benz Kita Osaka, BMW Nishinomiya and others) but every once in a while something special comes in, like a fully restored 1972 HS30 Nissan Fairlady 240ZG... The shop owner had immediately started applying film to the windows as soon as it was in the shop so the interior was completely covered in towels and plastic sheets. But I could get a few photos of the engine bay which was restored like new. Such an amazing car to see in pristine condition in Japan these days.
    • Was going to say the car pulls up nicely everywhere, especially going into that last long right hander before the main straight. Looks like a lot of fun.
    • Hey Dave, welcome aboard! Good to see another soon-to-be Stagea owner here. The wagons are awesome — plenty of space, still got that Skyline DNA, and loads of potential if you’re into mods. Definitely post up pics when you get it, everyone here loves seeing new builds. What model/year are you looking at?
