which makes the all wheel drive (at time), or rear wheel drive (at times).

I believe he means does it have a live axle, as opposed to IRS..

technicly it is. because its not "directly" atatched to he wheel hub.

but the term floating axle does not apply to ALL independant suspentions. only live axle equipped cars
