What a pack of whingers! Dont you have anything better to do than bitch about threads that dont concern you? I find the ctown thread very usefull so i can talk to other local members. Not everyone uses msn, not everyone can use other things during working hours.

The whorethread is ridiculous and impossible to keep up with unless you have no life but so what thats there for people to enjoy and do what they want. You go into it, expect whats there. We have a few area based threads which are constructive and allow local members to easily coordinate with each other and we are ridiculed for doing so. How antisocial is that! Contemplating this sort of censorship is a complete contradiction of what SAU is in my opinion.

AGREED 100%.

Check the votes so far. 9 ppl have voted against the subsections.

If you all feel so strongly against them get your arses of your seats and do something about it instead of whining and winging.

I have put my vote in to keep them. I find them to be useful (even if sometimes we talk about crap). But it keeps from offending the whole of NSW. We just offend the Campbelltown ppl. And we are all friends in there anyway so we know each others humor.

There has been new Skyline drivers come to the forum and and their first post is in a local forum because they feel more comfortable posting in a smaller thread.

Would you prefer every new user come in and new threads that say "Hi All im a new skyline driver.."?

If not how would they introduce themselves to the community? The whore thread is so big you cant keep track of it. And it would take ages to read through the whole thing get up to date to what was said...blah blah blah.

I do agree with some of the comments about too many threads for certain areas.But i have to defend the Campbelltown thread because it caters for more than just Campbelltown. This thread is for the sorrounding area as well;

Liverpool

Glenfield

Macquariefields

Minto

Leumeah

Campbelltown

Macarthur

Currans Hill

Spring Vale

Ambar Vale

Smeaton Grange

Narrellan

Camden

Possibly Picton and The Gong.

I think this supports for the Campelltown thread to exist.

i just don't get why it's sticky in the first place... if you come from any of these areas and want to keep up-to-date, simply find it and post in it...

we all know that as soon as any thread goes off the first page, it's forgotten... so just keep posting in it to keep it there... lazy &$^&$&$%$%@$!!!

why do people need seperate sections.

not trying to be a nazi, but if you want to talk to your mates all day, use msn, or some instant message thing. I think the forums should be kept as a common place for all, not a common place for everyone to be segregated into sub forums related to where you live.

my opinion, sack the current stickied threads, and dont make any new sub forums. Its supposed to be a place for ALL skyline lovers to join to discuss things.

WERD!!!!!!!!

I can understand what people are saying about the localities, but come on, some of the areas were like 15mins drive from each other. With two exceptions being the South Coast Thread and the Central Coast Thread which i think should stay as the normal whorethread etc doesnt really work for them aswel as the Sydney based SAU'ers

and especially agree with this last section!

Not sure what the point is!!

I also think most of you are missing the point... this is talking about the putting threads that have been STICKIED into sub sections!!! NOT ABOUT DELETING THEM!!!!!

Imo, i dont' think they need to be stickied.. i mean if its a thread you enjoy, then subscribe to it!! and if its active, like someone said, it'll always be on the first page anyway! I don't see the point for having a sticky for every single suburb within and around sydney... thats what this whole forum is for, and general chatter is for the whorethread! i don't know many of the whores that read every single page!! and as for organising events.. i'm sorry.. what? i thought thats what the events section was for! whats so hard about putting the suburb name or something into the title?

VERY well said.

Dont forget me Soulblighter, i live on an acreage well past campbelltown. Closer to Picton!

So if we want to organise casual meet up, often spur of the moment and a handfull of people, we need to go in the events forum? Come on! This is getting so petty its BS.

its what everyone else does. Or even start a thread that doesn't need to be stickied

spur of the moment with a hand ful of people? don't you think it'd be easier to use the phone?!!?!?!?!?! its not like people check that thread every 5mis to see whats happening!

No it would not be easier unless we went around leaving voicemails. And the ctown thread has worked quite well for us so far. But i guess if people are on a powertrip and want to feel all high and mighty what can we do about it?

Calm down and get your facts straight mate.

I don't think anyone's trying to take your precious thread away. It'll either be in a subforum, or just not stickied, so the rest of us don't have to sort through threads of rubbish that aren't relevant to most people to find something we're interested in looking at

Well no offence to you but i think its shit and the entire idea of stripping away our ability to have a centralised thread to convers based on our location and ability to actually socialise in real life, thats screwed up.

um dude... did you actaully read the first post?

:D

I never wanted to delete them. I'd rather not have them in the events section either cos that section gets quite cluttered with them. Someone starts a thread about going out that night, it doesn't quite get off the ground but the same thread becomes the seed for an event 2 weeks later and then someone else starts a new one in between meaning there are two going on at once - just for that area.

Then the real, decent sized events get lost in the mess. The events section has never looked so good since these area threads started up. I say keep them... in a separate box.

See what happens when you try to sub-divide a once combined community? Very soon we're going to have SAU Christians, SAU Muslims, SAU Buddhists; SAU Satanists; SAU Aetheists etc etc...

OMG!!!

Yeah i think deleting them woudl be stupid, but reading back i don't see where it was proposed to delete them. Just sub section them.

I think a sub section is a excellent idea, it'll keep everyone happy, ppl using their local, and the people who dont' want "numerous whoretown" threads in the nsw section.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens

    • Apologies for the long post, but needed somewhere to lay out the entire timeline of events and actions taken:   I've got an 89 GTR with a R34 RB in it. It's been running great all year, driven probably 500KM in the last month. It's not my daily driver, just a weekend fun car.    Build info: R34 RB26 - HKS 2.7 stroker kit, HKS adjustable cam gears, HKS turbo upgrades, Trust intercooler, R34 factory DENSO 440cc injectors, JUN chipped/tuned R32 ECU. All of this work was performed in Japan back in 2019.    Thursday 10/2/25 - It's a nice day and decided I'll drive it to work, I start it up in the garage and I notice it took a few extra cranks and sounded a bit funny. I figure maybe it was just because it was a pretty chilly morning. I pull it out into the driveway to warm up a bit before leaving. As I leave the driveway, it feels very off and sounds like a misfire. I pull it back in the garage to deal with after work and take the daily to work. I was able to diagnose it as a cylinder 5 misfire with the old spark plug test (unplugging each plug until a sound change with the engine running). I take off the whole ignition system, ignitor, plugs, spark. *Important note, it is still on the R32 ignition system with the separate ignitor system. I test each system with a multi-meter and nothing presents as a smoking gun. I put it all back together and it starts up no issue. I go ahead and order the PRP R35 ignition conversion kit. It should arrive today (10/13/25)   Friday 10/3/25 - Another nice day, car starts up great and drives great all day. Very pleased that everything seems to be OK   Sunday 10/5/25 - Decided I'll take it to play some golf, load up and drive to the course about 25 minutes away. Drives wonderful the whole way there, I pull in the parking lot and the engine completely comes to a stop. I do not recall if it sputtered at all, but just remember all of the sudden the engine was off. I roll it into a parking spot, try to crank it back on and nothing.  It'll crank and crank and not even try to start. End up getting it towed back to my house and push it up into the garage.    Items I have checked: Fuel in the tank Fuel Pump relay Fuel pump fuse  Spark Plugs & gap Coil packs Ignitor    I know the cylinders are getting fuel as the plugs smell like fuel after a start attempt. I tried spraying starter fluid into the manifold and cranking and not even a sputter.    I decided to do the live CAS test (removing the the CAS, ignition on and spinning the CAS stalk to see if the injectors pulse and spark is active). All of the injectors were pulsing and I have spark at the plug. The half-moon end of the CAS did seem very loose, I'm not sure how much play is supposed to be there, but it was more than I expected. There was no in/out play of the shaft, just the tip end that is pinned on had quite a bit of play.    CAS Play video   When I put the CAS back in, I stupidly did not re-time the engine. I know I need to do that tonight, however, I do not think it will start given it seemingly was not the issue. My plan is to do the PRP R35 coil kit and retime the engine at the same time.    I plan on ordering the Haltech Nexus Plug-in ECU once they are available again, but ideally would like to get this sorted before firing the parts cannon at it and potentially adding more variables.    Anything glaring that I am missing here, I'm a bit at a loss?
    • Get it on a dyno. Get something logging Consult. Run it up and find out what is causing it.
    • Looking for a plenum for rb25 de+t neo  Not looking to push much power maybe 300kw at the wheels, is there much difference in flow for Freddy “Greddy style” compared to original Greddy or options like Proflow or Otaku garage?    I won’t be porting the de Neo head for now as I think it’ll be fine 280-300rwkw but appreciate the help and any experiences anyone has between them and any advice.
