nah I reckon having too wide variety of cars ruins it .... would be far better if we just restricted it to Skylines with the odd Silvia thrown in. Just my 2c.

Will, I have Paypal'd you the $10.

i agree so that makes 4c

As Platinum said, I know us VL Boy's would love to come along and have a bit of a comp.

Its up to you though, we will have a couple of 300rwkw + cars.

Possibly get our 450-500rwkw + car to come along.

And then mine <200rwkw car. Haha.

But we dont want to impose on anything.

Meh well if the mentality is that only force fed RBs are invited then I think thats a smidgen unfair! >_<

I mean people are entitled to run their car on the dyno even if its not really highly modded or not an RB yes? Its all fun in the end and thats what counts! OK well I have to admit if we had 10 Excels lined up I'd be rasing my eyebrow but we all know this doesnt happen on an SAU dyno day.

By any chance is that 450-500 rwkw a combined develop car of the VL Boy's? Or an individual by some chance that use to be red in colour? (Car color) I don't mind either way, but im aiming at 140-150rwkw, so you can kinda see my possible want to be first or early, possibly early so there isn't an anticlimax at the end with the more powerful cars >_<.

Cubes.......a 3L RB30ET into an R32 isn't something i'd call a small modification :) lol. A pod filter and exhaust maybe.... This is looking like a good day....

im only saying 1 club assuming we would run out of time assuming there are moderate numbers 12 SAU members 12 VLT members that would take alot of time to run 2x dyno runs on 24 cars

i used 12 as a real conservative number might be more could be less

dont take it personal that i didnt want to mix groups im only thinking of time

Well there's no bending of the rules then...

If we are able to get a decent number 20odd (which it looks we already are) then its SAU only.

No Nissan silvia/calais turbo members that are not sau members etc..

Don't take it personally... It wasn't meant to come across as such.

People like Platnium, chops, busky2k (may be some more I've left out) by all means are 100% welcome as they are what I consider SAU members. You know your all welcome anyway, as you are us... SAU... :)

Its still running near stock boost and a small crappy turbo, so only mild. The motor has lots of torque but thats about it. No high rpm which I am really starting to miss. :)

The highlight of my day last dyno day was Sky30's rb30 and MS75 pushing out 391.1rwkw. Both sound awesome and seriously grunty.

i wanna see Jake's (tubbed1's) VLT on the dyno to see what that monster pushes, i also have a thing still for VLT's as i used to own one.

This is the car i'm talking about, i'm sure even the most bogun hating people could appreciate this!

I'll come along for a look - my car might still be down there then anyway.

And for my 2c I'd like to see the VLT boys come along too! I would suggest asking Shaun and Troy how many cars they can accomodate in a day (say 0900-1800) I would have thought ~25 cars would be achieveable.

Hence the reason I wrote, 'I would suggest asking Shaun and Troy...' I'm not saying they MUST stay open from 9am till 6pm or even 5pm. But at least ask them what 'they' are happy with.

I believe there my pictures man ^ Lol.

Jakes will push 450-500rwkw imo.

Will see, matters if were allowed to come along lol.

i believe they are, you don't mind me posting do you?

I had my own that i took at autosalon but i couldn't be stuffed making them smaller and yours were more handy!

    • Then, shorten them by 1cm, drop the car back down and have a visual look (or even better, use a spirit level across the wheel to see if you have less camber than before. You still want something like 1.5 for road use. Alternatively, if you have adjustable rear ride height (I assume you do if you have extreme camber wear), raise the suspension back to standard height until you can get it all aligned properly. Finally, keep in mind that wear on the inside of the tyre can be for incorrect toe, not just camber
    • I know I have to get a wheel alignment but until then I just need to bring the rear tyres in a bit they're wearing to the belt on the inside and brand new on the outside edge. I did shorten the arms a bit but got it wrong now after a few klms the Slip and VDC lights come on. I'd just like to get it to a point where I can drive for another week or two before getting an alignment. I've had to pay a lot of other stuff recently so doing it myself is my only option
    • You just need a wheel alignment after, so just set them to the same as current and drive to the shop. As there are 2 upper links it may also be worth adding adjustable upper front links at the same time; these reduce bump steer when you move the camber (note that setting those correctly takes a lot longer as you have to recheck the camber at each length of the toe arm, through a range of movement, so you could just ignore that unless the handling becomes unpredictable)
    • I got adjustable after market rear camber arm to replace the stock one's because got sick of having to buy new rear tyres every few months. Can anyone please let me know what the best adjustment length would be. I don't have the old ones anymore to get measurements. I'm guessing the stock measurement minus a few mm would do it. Please any help on replacing them would be fantastic I've watched the YouTube clips but no-one talks about how long to set the camber arm to.
    • Heh. I copied the link to the video direct, instead of the thread I mentioned. But the video is the main value content anyway. Otherwise, yes, in Europe, surely you'd be expected to buy local. Being whichever flavour of Michelin, Continental or Pirelli suits your usage model.
